It's the class of 9/11 6 Year Reunion!

Oh yes, how can we forget. Keith Olberman was kind enough to remind me personally that starting at 9AM EST today, MSNBC will be airing a re-broadcast of their the 9/11 TODAY show.

6 years have passed so soon, I haven't even found a suitable gift. Relive the memories, relive the horrors, it's 9/11 again.

i stil remember that dya - very vividly in my mind....people knocking on my dorm room door, saying that new yrok was under attack....turning on my TV and seeing that first tower fall......FUCK. what a crazy day in american history.....even in world history , i think.

I was staying in a youth hostel in Byron Bay.

I thought it was a movie playing on the TVs

Couldn't figure out why everyone was so glued to the screens.

I'll be flying today.

You never really get over things like this. Isn't weird that you don't forget where you were and what you were doing at the time you heard what happened?

woke up, turned on the TV in the morning to catch my 10 minutes of news. Saw that the pentagon was on fire, but no one really knew anything. If I remember correctly, the caption was "fire at pentagon."

Then I went to school, didn't think too much. I went to class early to put my head down and the teacher sort of run/walks in with a TV monitor, sets it up quickly and (to me), he goes "you're not gonna believe this shit." He gives me a rundown and says that airplanes crashed into the WTC buildings+pentagon and one of them already went down. As soon as he turned on the TV the 2nd building came down.
It's like fuck. I like LIVE sporting events because you feel that when you are in a joyous moment, the world is in a joyous moment with you at that exact place in time. When I saw those the 2nd building go down live, all i could think about was the sudden loss of life in that point in time.

I honestly think that you'd have to be an incredible fucking moron to try to do something on 9/11. Well, I can see something happening, just not on an airplane. But it's the anniversary of an airplane attack, I'm pretty sure that airport security is going to be very strict (I'll probably get literally fucked in the ass tomorrow morning given my past experiences with security), and everyone else who is flying is going to be incredibly on edge. I guarantee that if someone fidgets the wrong way, half of the plane would be all over that persons ass. I see zero reason, logically speaking, to be afraid.

DUDE! Okay, this explains why LiveNation couldn't sell enough tickets to have it at Red Rocks. It's tomorrow at 7:30 at the Fillmore. They were originally booked at Red Rocks, but on Saturday LiveNation pulled the plug on that because they sucked ass at promoting it (obviously) and moved it to the Fillmore. Advanced tickets are still available for $40, door is $50 I think. Go!

i remember talking about that before - because you lost family in WTC, and i knew family that were affect by hurricane andrew.....and how like sometimes weather is worse and shit. its crazy.

aw man i've always thought it'd be cool to be in the mile high club, but i've never even been on a flight with a single empty seat
everything from red-eyes from japan to 20 seater puddle jumpers in the carribean. never a single empty seat

did however meet and proceed to make out with some cute chick way back in the day on a flight to china
got seated away from my tourgroup. oh well!

oh and bonus points: my future girlfriend's mom (a chaperone on the trip) was asleep in the seat right next to us the entire time

made out a /w chick on an airplane....shijt, almost made out w/ the stweardess....but alas, no such luck. regardless, europe rocksorz my boxorz. lol

I was right about to go to bed as it was around midnight. Right before I clicked the off button the news popped up and I sat there for the next 3-4 hours watching in horror.
