Seems most gaming journalists who've got their hands on it so far say it's not shaping up so hot. Bland, boring, and awkward is all I've heard thus far.

Definitely a "wait & see" for me, highly skeptical.

Seriously? I've actually heard nothing but praise for the game, aside from a slightly sluggish framerate. RPGs are my favorite genre, but I'm a bit worried about the squad based shooter elements to the battle system.

Well I probably put more stock into the Destructoid guys than most people do (or should), but they've been dead to nuts on pretty much everything for me so far - and with even the 1up guys (EGM) being a bit skeptical, I really have to wonder.

The biggest complaint by far has been big, bland, open areas and a piss-boring story.

The game had a lot a praise going for it until about a year ago. Then reports started making it seem more 'average'. Dont expect this one to be another Bioshock.
