Packets of Crisps

Why is it that packet of crisps are only filled about a 1/4 full to their actual packet size?

I've had three packets there in a row and still feel the craving!! need me...gimme gimme gimme aghhhhh

That's false advertising or whatever you call it. There is way more then some. When there is more then some it's not some anymore. It's a lot. Why don't they use a lot when it clearly is a lot?

you know i did notice this a while ago. I stopped buying Lay's altogether. With Ranch Dorito's it usually seems like it's atleast 3/4's full so I go for that.

I've been forced to adopt it, but I still find it funny how South Africans could contextualise the use of chips for both crisps(UK) and fries(US) when Brits couldn't.
