Anyone recall if he dropped the new M.A.N.D.Y. & Bookashade track?
o superman?
hmmmm I dont think so (but I was kind of mangled too so ... )
Barato's opening set scored major points with me. I like when DJS are open minded and play different genres and classics. Major props for playing Dennis Ferrer's - I Can't Go Under...
Dubfire, was on point and awesome. The people by the dancefloor ripping it up more than made up for a lot of the prentensious crowd in the bottle service area.
What time did it end?

i could just imagine...
i just played that track 3 times thinking how sweet it would have been
In true Dubfire Film Fest Fashion I will write Slingshot's review for him since more than likely he cannot remember...
Sling says...
"The night started out all hunky doory with the best damned Chicken Bacon Ranch Sub I have ever had (from Subway of course-parmesan oregano OH YEAH-You know it's the king of the breads there).
With my belly so blissfully filled with all the veggies and meat it could handle, and perhaps just slightly too much ranch (Don't worry Sandwich artist Jenny, I will not call the supervisor), I made my way to Ultra Super Club, or whatever that place was called with the big door and no sign. The no sign thing really made things difficult, I walked up and was like WTF? I know that last year there was a sign, is this the right place? Get your act together people (and by people I mean Charles). You want to play with the big boys and have a Film Fest Party? It's not too much to ask that you at least get a sign.
So with the score tied 1-1 (1 for me for the sub, 1 for the away team for the lack of sign) I made my way into the club.
Inside I was impressed with the theme of the roaring twenties. I never thought doing the charleston to the transit time remix could be so much fun.
"15 hours to go" *jump left, jump right, leg kick, leg kick, Hey*
Dub was sick, so were the tunes, and so was I (probably from the too much ranch) but it was a hollering good time!
Got there around 12...line was huge.
I heard Nathan for like 30 min. and really liked his track selection...Heater again!!!! yay!
and Deadmau5- Reward is cheese
...A great way to open!
Dubfire was amazinggggggggggg....OMG...I love him even more now! lol He played some sexy tunes and was so dark
Skribble joined him a few times and fucked around, but what he did to Roadkill was awesome! He's really talented!
Ali played Float Away!!! ahhh that was so exciting
I had a blast but didn't like the crowd too much. Most ppl were just walking around drunk spilling their drinks, and having dry sex on the dance floor! There was barely any room to dance and when u found a decent spot somebody would still walk into you or even push you.
I was glad to see everyone tho
Overall I had a blast!
I <3 Dubfire

| Originally posted by slingshot there was sooooooo much room to dance and the crowd was WAY better in comparison to previous years. you could dance with a 5 foot radius in the back half of the club all night long....and the crowd cleared pretty early leaving more than enough comfortable dancing space up at the front for a good portion of time. this party was like night and day compared to the last couple of years. |
