Ibiza, Spain

Sup TA,

Looking for your input and suggestions.

Im planning a trip for next year to go to Ibiza. I need when the party/ibiza season kicks off. I.E. Major parties, clubs openings, festivals, residencies etc.

Im a big Trancehead...so any trance act info would be greatly appreciated!

oh man, i just got back from ibiza again. it got WAY expensive since the last time i went. cafe mambo was BOTTLE SERVICE for ALL THE TABLES!!!! 175 Euro miminum. a beach we went to was 90 Euros to rent a terrycloth bed on the beach. prices for clubs were WACK. plus, its september and it was just packed, no matter where we went on the island (ie, beaches and clubs.) even aguamar the waterpark was more expensive!! i think im spent with that island-- there is so much more to see in the world and for waaaaay less money. good thing was that i finally saw laurent garnier at space. he ruled, just as i knew he would imo, ibiza has gotten the miami syndrome...overplayed, overdone, too greedy, etc. its overrated for sure now. need to find a new place to party.

there are a few very nice places to go in san antonio that are actually nicer and much cheaper than places in ibiza town, such as Villa Mercedes, just on the port. amazing atmosphere, decor, music and cheap prices.

I was at Garnier as well! Haha too bad we didnt run into each other... I was expecting a very expensive vacation, which it was. Never made it over to the sunset bars, as we stayed in the Jet Apartments (90 euros a night), where the parties never stopped. Thought Bora Bora was so much fun every day, and you can BYOB to the place. DC10, Amnesia, and Space are by far the best clubs on the island... every other one didnt even come close. Best parties were Circoloco, Carl Cox, and every weekend morning at Space (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Met so many different people who were so nice. So much to do on the island, from partying to relaxing, it was really an amazing trip and everything I thought it was going to be plus more. I would do the same trip again, but also I would love to stay in Spain for a year because I love the place.

Anyway, the Garnier set from Space is up... although I thought his set in the other room was even better.

SO glad to hear you guys had a great trip! JET is definitely the place to stay. Your review sounds exactly like my review the last time I was there so it seems not TOO much has changed! We will have to trade stories when I get back
