So who here is a full-time DJ?

Just curious. I'm a full-time 1L law student down here at UM = barely any time to DJ right now. Once a week if I'm lucky.

Who spins for a living?

My best friends cousin owns a mobile DJ company. They do all the dances around here for high schools, weddings, bar mitzvah's and what not and he makes a really good living, and he goes to college.

You are so full of shit.

You can't even string two words together coherently, let alone co-own a club.

English and Grammar I wasn't good at during school because I was a slow learner.

Ok, so you're not great at English.

You still don't co-own a club.

Yeah I think he meant club DJs though. Mobile DJ is totally different. It isn't tough to make a living doing mobile.

i could live on what i make DJing, but i love money, so i work full time too.

Posted by Inertia on Sep-14-2007 14:15:

i'd like to someday. if i could live decently off djing/producing, i'd definitely do it. not to say i won't finish college, but it would rock.

Dude, what's the date of you coming to Toronto again?

I'm lucky if I get a gig every month. Right now, it's more like once every 3 months (though I already had 2 this month)

I assume that a full time club DJ would find the information on this section of the forum boring and misleading, so why would he waste his time here?

why do you think that?

nem and freak are some of this forum's best contributers

Yep I agree with Tony. Hell I half taught myself to DJ from their advice.

fixed

If the big money was in producing, Benassi wouldn't tour...trust me . (The man cannot mix for the life of him)
Productions get you booked abroad, DJing is what makes the money. (not all the time, so many producers that dont spin still have day jobs) If you don't finish College your parents should kill you.
