Superbad...

Not sure if there's another thread about this, but this is the funniest movie I've seen in so long... You need to see it if you haven't already seen it!...

"cocktail casuals"... hahahahahahahaaha

it was funny, but I don't think it lived up to the hype. They were making it out to be the funniest movie of the year, which it was not. "Knocked Up" was a lot better.

really? i thought knocked up sucked. ::shrugs:: oh well evryone has their own opinion thou

how old are you?

I have been out of HS for a long time now, so not all the humour in Superbad did it for me. I definitely laughed a lot during the movie, but I thought a lot of the jokes just bombed...like every scene with the McLovin' kid for example. Like, I get it, he's a nerd with a squeeky voice...hur hur. The fat kid on the other hand was freaking hilarious...he made that movie. His friend was pretty annoying though too.

its pretty relevant. Superbad and knocked Up were made by the same people...obviously Knocked Up is going after a 'slightly' older audience, just based on the subject matter. Wasn't trying to attack you lol.

I saw superbad and found it amusing but not hillarious, my hubby on the other hand said it didn't hold his attention at all. He actually wanted to walk out and see another movie. He said that the references are too immature and childlike and he could not relate. I haven't seen knocked up so I can't compare the two.

I've seen it a couple times (bootleg copy) and i found that the first time i saw it, i thought it was funny, but not hysterical. But watching it a 2nd and 3rd time, you start to pick up on a lot more of the jokes.

Also, i thought McLovin was awesome, esp when combined with the cops.

"you don't have the technology OR the steady hand to compelete that procedue so HA!"

The McLovin scenes were my favorite parts of the movie

not sure who else has seen Grandma's Boy (which is freakin' HILARIOUS)... but if you have, anyone else notice that fat kid is the same one as in Superbad? I don't know, but that one took me awhile to notice.

lol same experience i had with 40 year old virgin, i thought it was funny as hell the first time i watched it, then it became more and more hysterical with every viewing on DVD and cable i cant wait to watch Superbad.

during first viewings, u tend to miss out on subtleties
