Matthew Dear - Don and Sherri

http://www.stars-and-heroes.com/pub...rri/player.html

Original, M.A.N.D.Y, Hot chip mixes
and Koze remix of elementary lover
love the hot chip mixes and the original, the M.A.N.D.Y remix is fucking horseshit
and the koze mix of elementary lover is excellent

couldn't agree more. not a fan of the Hot Chip ones, either, but they pale in comparison. If anyone ever needed an excuse to rip on "Beatport Minimal," that track serves up that argument on a platter.

Koze's is quite nice, though.

Everything that isn't the original is awful.

Original is ace though.

My thought, too. Hot Chip remix is fair, but been-there-done-that.

Yeah, those too.

Original is terrific though - going to sit down tomorrow and try to edit an extended mix of it, 3 minutes is just not enough.

... I think I might have to throw out a preemptive whoosh on that one.

Right over my head.

not I. they've been putting out commercials with good music for a few years now. It's even the 2nd or 3rd time they've used something from Ghostly (Dabrye twice iirc).

Posted by RJT on Oct-19-2007 05:39:

I just don't particularly care for marketing - especially when it's for a product I despise and uses a track I love.

Obviously doesn't make the music any less quality, and Dear's gotta get paid too, but meh - fuck Hummers and the people who drive them.

Posted by shaw on Oct-19-2007 05:49:

hummers get a raw deal. hell, that h3 gets the same mileage as a saab. iiiiiiiiiironyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
