Anybody Know How To Fix This Hotmail/Msn Problem?

hey guys,

everytime i try to login on msn i get this message :

and im not able to sign in with my windows live account..

i thought something was wrong with my msn installation, so i uninstalled it & re-installed it.. the problem was still there..

so i thought maybe i have a virus on my computer that my norton anti-virus couldn't find? so i formatted my pc, and installed all applications fresh.. first thing i tried was to sign in with my hotmail to see if the problem was still there.. and it was..

the same message appears when i try to login on other computers (at work/internet cafe's etc)..

i think i have to change some settings on my hotmail account, but im not sure.. would really appreciate it if somebody could help me out!

The Cause of Code 80048820

There are a variety of causes of this error:

1) Incorrect Proxy Setting for Internet Explorer.

2) softpub.dll may have become unregistered.

3) Your system clock may be showing an incorrect time (or date!).

4) Firewall problems. Particularly with Netgear.
