Tiesto @ Love Outdoors DC Review

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. I had absolutely no expectations for this show whatsoever but I actually really really really enjoyed his set tonight. He played so fuckin hard...especially the last hour..hour and a half. He played nothing but tech-tech trance during that time. Visuals pretty much the same as the NY shows. PLace was packed...seemed like there were more than 8000 ppl out there. I was so tired after Tiesto that we decided not to go in the club to see Ferry. Props to Glow for this ridiculous show!! I wonder how packed Love is right now inside. Didn't seem like people had the energy to go see Ferry after this show. On the way out, the bouncers announced that Love changed the afterparty to 18+ so that they can bring more people in.

Tiesto is making a comeback!

After attending all these outdoor events, I would have to say Armin's show was pure garbage set wise and production wise..espeically when you're comparing last night's show and PVD's in CP. Maybe it was b/c it was his last stop in the US for his Elements of Life tour so he gave it his all. I'm still shocked by this event. Great flow, great energy, and great vibe. Loved how there were plenty of bartenders/bars so getting a drink didn't take too long. The bartenders were crazy!! They would pour all of our drinks with 90% alcohol and the rest with whatever...redbull, cranberry, etc etc etc. Just the way I like it.

Thumbs up

His set brought back fond memories of him, circa 2001.
(In particular, it reminded me of his Dutch Dimension set - if you don't have it you need to get it)

The combination of his energy, his set list (especially the last hour and a half) and his ability to move the crowd really made yesterday's performance one of his best ever in DC.

Amazing setup, job well done. Nice to see such an event take place in DC. Great visuals (needed more lasers tho, and cryogenics were non-effective / unnecessary). Funny to see bottle service on the side there like that.

Its been a few years since I've seen Tiesto- the price and venue made it possible. Enjoyed the set, tho once I left the middle section, it just became a social event for me. Heard the 1 song I wanted to hear "Lovestoned", but was disappointed he played it as his 3rd track, so early in the set. Lots of tracks from the elements of life album, some classics, hard stuff and closed w/Imogen Heap.

Nice to see familiar faces (Das Mario, Limin Li, Trancer-X, Casey), met Big Mike, and met loads of cool people.

For those of you who didn't catch DJ Breakfast & Ferry inside, well, that's where u missed the real good tracks and technical skills. Only stayed til 3 or 3:30, but the sets were very different from the June show. Casey closed w/Big Mike's track, "Baybreeze", which is awesome. Ferry dropped "Heaven Sent" and "L.E.F"- need I say more?

Was pretty hung over this morning. Had a great time. Thank you Panaroma Productions.

Ferry or Tiesto?

Ferry closed with:

William Orbit - Barber's Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Ferry Corsten Remix)

Tiesto:

Nenes & Pascal Feliz - Platinum (Original Mix)
Imogen Heap - Hide & Seek (Tiesto's ISOS Remix)

Fantastic Event. Both DJs were outstanding, my #1 highlight was when Tiesto dropped Bulldozer because he was just so damn into it. The combination of my love for that track and Tiesto's energy made it a very memorable moment.

I had more fun at the concert that PVD at Central Park!
This was an EXCELLENT time. Tiesto played pure trance energy, just the way I like it. The sound system was great, very clear and not too loud. The day was beautiful, the night cool. The crowd was awesome, tons of people. Drink girls came by while we were in the crowd.

It was surreal looking back two city blocks completely packed with people dancing.

He's a Pirate, Adagio for Strings, and the sad song he played at the end (the one that he said made him cry sometimes) were my highlights.

That is the thing i had loved most about these Elements of life shows, TIESTO is just sooooo into these Sets, the way he carries himself and the ENERGY is awesome.

The Dj booth is not the usual set up at a regular night in a club where u have 20 assholessss who paid a lot of money for VIP talking to TIESTO during his set every 5 minutes "wow Tiesto this is my first time seeing u permorm and u Rock" LOL LOL LOL

FUC*&^*^^!!!

I was almost on a plane at 7:AM to go there and catch this event.. My wife would have killed me, I could feel the energy here in LA, hahah..

His set here in LA was on the same level. 15,000 people, sold out show and he was amazing. Very into it and I loved it.

I so want to see this EOL show again, totally awesome. The whole beginning and the different elements, just amazing. Really gets you into it..

Maybe NJ in the end of October. Hehee..

Anyhow, you guys were lucky.. Outdoor venue and Ferry afterwards, it's like a dream show, if Sander van Doorn was there as well, I would have been there. Then it would have been unreal..

Tiesto is untouchable, there is no one bringing it the way he does, period!

Question

anyone have Tiesto's full track list for this event?

Posted by akaufma2000 on Sep-17-2007 12:28:

I saw an older couple in the crowd, probably 40 or 50 years old. I went up to them and asked, "Are you guys Tiesto's parents?" The woman didn't think i was funny, but the man did. haha.
