I can't wait for this...it's set for a May 21th release date in the US and a May 24th release in the UK. The PC version will also support MP3 playlists so if Rise FM or MSX wasn't enough for you...now you can play whatever you want while cruising! YES!!! a release date!!! i have been reading some web sites and all they said was "set for the end of may". Does this have multiplayer?? i heard it did and i would be interested in how it will work. street races etc. Anyway COOL!

Sadly, the multiplayer has been cut out That won't hurt the game though...since it kicks so much ass! Although getting into gang wars with your friends would be fun

I've already got it on PS2, so I wont be buying this. I prefer playing games on a console, anyway.

That said, I would have got it without a shadow of a doubt if it had Multiplayer options. Tell me, does it differ at all from the PS2 game?

There will be little things you will notice that are different...more draw distance, cars/people on the road, etc. The ONLY complaint I have about the PS2 version is how once you start getting chased by the police the amount of vehicles on the road decreases. Another change will be the custom playlist you can create to play while cruising along in your car. The guns should also be easier to use on the PC version since the mouse will be used to aim them.

they cut out a multiplayer version? or are you just talking about from GTA2 to 3...i read that 3 never had a mult version, due it its ambitious nature...plus how would you play multiplayer with the way its structured? late/

I was thinking there could be servers for a few ppl and all u do is street race ur mates etc...

yeah i understand that...but if youve played GTA3 a lot(ive played too much) you realize that the 'racing' isnt in depth enough to warrant straight races. it could be done, and IS in several of the single player missions, but i dont think the game is tweaked enough to keep it entertaining. GTA3 is really crime first, and driving second- so i think multiplayer would have to revolve around the crime element, and im not sure how that would work well. you could prolly deathmatch/capture the flag or something tho, i dunno. late/
