EFX1000...worth it?

I can pick one up for $450.00...is it worth it?
I know it's cheap because I've been comparing prices (new, used, eBay etc...) but I could use that 450 toward a new mixer, so I was wondering, for those of you who have one, if it was worth your money. Seems like a cool device, I've used a 500 before and thought it was cool.
Any thoughts?

that's a really cheap price for it, it's worth it if you enjoy using effects in your set, or have A.D.D. I just love pushing buttons. Where are you getting it for that price? If you don't take it can you grab it for me and I'll give you a lil extra for your trouble?

That's a steal. I'd grab it in a heartbeat! Although in your situation i'd rather use the $450 and get a better mixer. How much were you going to spend on a mixer? If you already budgeted $1000 or so then I would just save your money and buy a better mixer (Xone 92, DJM 800). EFX 1000 is if you already have top of the line gear and want to expand even further..... It's not worth having a mediocre mixer and the EFX 1000. You'll regret it down the road.

or you could see it as if you know for sure you're eventually going to go for a good mixer and the efx 1000 regardless, i would say buy this now since it's a steal and just save up again a bit more for the good mixer later on

I'm looking for a top end mixer, such as the Xone 92 or DJM 800. I have a 2 channel Stanton right now, (very basic, but gets the job done) so even if I get this EFX, i wouldn't be able to use it. The money for this EFX would start my fund to save for a mixer(so no mixer money saved up yet...).
Either way, I know it's a good price, which is why I'm wondering if I should take it for oppurtunity reasons.

You can still route the master out of your stanton through the EFX-1000... you don't necessarily need an effects loop.
