Tiesto - Tampa 10/28 The Underground

Just saw this - Sunset 07 preparty - Tiesto @ Club Underground in Tampa. No ticket info/flyers yet.

Hmm.. Where is the Underground?.. and Sunset '07 isn't until November, I don't know how it could be a preparty...

Underground is on the north end of downtown. It's a nice venue. I forget how the sound is but I assume its OK. Lots of space with a huge bar area. I'm curious to see how many people make it out. Underground never promotes but people always seem to find Tiesto. Hopefully its 21+ as well. Nothing on the website so far.

18+...

Even though I really hate 18+ events, and I haven't been THAT impressed at Tiesto as of late, he doesn't come around my area often, so I will be there.

I hope he changes my mind.

venue is great, or at least it was...haven't been in a few years. A couple summers back they had a few shows (Ferry Corsten, Jody from WOW, Donald Glaude) but then they changed up and I saw The Roots there,... and now its all latin stuff.

Posted by raverchikadee on Sep-22-2007 17:13:

count me in to seeing him there!

honestly, as long as you don't expect too much out of him and you have a few drinks you'll have a good time. i hate tiesto but as long as i'm intoxicated and it's not too expensive i can stand him lol

I dont get what the problem is. I was born in 1987 and I still have another whole year left of getting fucked out of seeing some of my favorite DJs. It fucking sucks, its bullshit, im not any less important because I haven't been alive for 21 years yet.

Oh, I know. I cant spend money on drinks, so why would most places even want me in there? Fuck.

I'll try not to rant here but wait you're year and go party. Once you turn 21 you will see the 18+ shows are annoying, immature, and generally worse than 21+ shows.

Posted by DiegoParra32 on Sep-25-2007 15:30:

yeah. before i turned 21 i thought it was bullshit, but now i can really appreciate it. a lot of idiots are filtered out this way.

People always think it's about the money. I'm well over 21 and clubs are lucky if I buy more than one bottle of water when I go out. Some of the reasons establishments do a 21+ night are to have less stress on the people that work there and less liability on the club. The bartenders, security, waitresses and other various people spend half of their night keeping an eye out for underage drinkers. Clubs can lose their license over that. People can also sue a club for serving alcohol to someone underage that was involved in an accident or involved in a situation that caused injury or death. Nothing is foolproof and you're going to have people try to get in no matter what. If you're under 21 and you're trying to get in somewhere at least have the courtesy to not drink so that you aren't holding the club liable for your error in judgment if something should happen to you.

liability i'm sure is one of the top concerns for club owners, but money is right up there as well. before i was 21 there were countless times that i tried getting into a club and they wouldn't let me in because of my age, then we tell them we're going to buy a bottle and they just turn the other cheek and let all of us in

Posted by av1 on Sep-26-2007 01:01:

They let 18 year olds in because that is the only demographic that doesn't understand how badly Tiesto sucks these days. Those kiddies will jump and down like they won the lottery regardless of the crap he drops

Posted by raverchikadee on Sep-27-2007 15:19:

i honestly dont mind the 18+ clubs. Mostly because my bro just turned 18 not to long ago and its fun for him to go with me. He doesnt drink doesnt act immature and you dont even really know hes there except for the huge black perm. marker X's all over him. We only had one bad experience so far when we went to see kaskade... the bouncer thought he was drinking my beer when the stupid bartender put my beer in a plastic cup. My bro was drinking water. Try to explain that one to a man with a $7 hr power trip! For me also its the younger people who are going to be able to continue the music when we are dead and gone. So let em in!!!

Shame / Disagreement

What's up with people hating on Tiesto???

they've seen the light

10 ppl from here can get vip

I might be able to get tranceaddict members in the VIP at no extra charge. A good friend of mine owns the underground and he always hooks it up for me and friends. Drop me a line if your interested and I guess we can go from their. A couple of people have talked to me about it and he says theirs a limit to 10 people so 8 spaces left mates.

I also didn't know how the show at the Underground is the pre party. Its strange and I don't think even the promoters understand for I have yet to see anyone explain it. Hmm oh well I'll see ya their!

Ok that makes ten with stevieboy32808 can't wait for the show

Posted by Kevntampa on Oct-20-2007 04:09:

$35 presales online, anyone have an idea of day of show cover? I'm having a hard time believing that it will be packed on a Sunday Night with a $35 cover...

Posted by epdarks on Oct-20-2007 18:05:

$35 is strait nuts on a Sunday. Could be more at the door. Remember when AMP was charging $100 for PvD? Probably not going to make this one.

Posted by DiegoParra32 on Oct-20-2007 19:11:
