Exclamation [PSY] Anomyst - This Is A Test [Prog & Full-on 2hr Mixup]

I think Track 7 should be labelled:

Domestic - Non Humans

It's a floor destroyer for sure!

Thanks for the Track update
destroyer in a bad way? or good way?

i know its a hard mix to keep on track with, it jumps a bit through different styles and forms of psy, but thats what i am trying to learn atm with this genre, its so unique and different to any other form of dance music, which is why i love it so much, but the right sounds & tracks in the right places and general build of the tracks is a tricky one to wrap your head around. ill get in touch with it the more i play it and learn about it, but coming from trance/tek trance roots im trying to get out of those habits and play a trippier, smoother more melodic sound

Any advice you can offer would be awesome as well! trying to soak up as much as i possibly can about a good structure of a psychedelic set.

This is PURELY a personal preference but I would have liked to hear the BPM for the first hour or so (up to 1200 Mics) increased.. for the tracks played I felt like it was lacking energy, after that it sounded better... I will give it another listen shortly.

personally i would have it at about 145bpm so it suits the tracks better, and realized it was a bit chuggish for the type of tracks in the mix but after a few rounds convinced myself it was fast enough lol

[EDIT] Def needs a pitch up, just listened to it through with some added BPM's and is sounding much more suited to the tracks. cheers

i really appreciate the feedback too! thank you! as it will help with future mixes and what to look out out for when im thinking it through.

did some other psy sets which are much more structured in a way and the flow and build is heaps cleaner and wider not as much slam, but the pace and groove is up there with the types of tracks played if you wanted to have a listen, was for a couple of local radio stations here in Melbourne.
