I didn't think anything would fully pull me away from halo3, but I was damn wrong. The graphics, sound, customization, and speed of this game are so addictive.. I'm not even going out tonight (a friday)I want some quality time with cod4!

I played the demo for 2 mins and then went out and bought the full pc game straight away, i had the option to download it for free but the people behind it deserve to be paid for this one...

UNBELIEVABLE GAME

The life-like crystal clear graphics, the new modern weapons, the intense sounds, the dialogue, the cut-scenes, everything is just soooooo good. Its like watching an awesome war movie in HD and interacting with it at the same time. The singleplayer campaign beats every other single player ive ever played and im only about 2.5 hours through it! Only brielfy played the multiplayer but it seems awesome as well.

AI is decent, friendly AI is generally smart.

Nice balance between realism and traditional shooter.

One mission... Well, blowing stuff up from the air is so much fun

this isnt a question regarding the BETA, but...does anyone know how the LAN play vs online play is? for instance...the whole 'ranking' thing? is that the same on lan as online?

I'm not sure, but I'd hypothesize that you would not earn rank on LAN in the same manner as online. It would be too easy for people to setup a LAN then artificially level up and unlock things they haven't truly earned during random online play.

played it at a friends house (Playstation 3 version).
Multiplayer was pretty boring, Single was pretty good. There was no life bar, so you pretty much just sprint and fall back anytime you get damage to regather your composure. The mission with the downed chopper is insanely intense (and ends with a visual feast).
I was doing a Run'n'gun style, but I'm pretty sure there were no SOCOM-style commands ('squad fall back, take over, fire this direction'), which in retrospect, disappoints me

This game is just CoD2 with different weapons and better graphics imo, still is fun though
