PICS :: 16 days in Ibiza
i haven't figured out how i'm gonna organize all these pics yet, so at the moment you're loading 470 pics when you click the link below...

if not, here's the cliff's on a trip that can only be described and is impossible to explain...
we've shot about 3 hours of hdvr footage along the way and a video compilation is being worked on at the moment so stay tuned and start saving your pennies for ibiza 2008: villa edition

the 21.5 hour flight home was the most agonizing bit of the trip. we accomplished so much in our 16 days, only to find there was soooo much more we had yet to see, do and experience. our last day on the island was preoccupied with thoughts on how to move to ibiza for good :\
Hahaa, yeah man absolutely down for next year! I was only there for 4 days, I can't imagine what you did in 16!

for all tas considering the trip next year, it's very easy to get done... our flight was $1150usd, hotel was $32eur/night, which included full breakfast and dinner buffet, which can save you a TON on meals. the hotel gran sol is family-operated, ultra clean, professional and safe and a 5 min walk from cafe del mar/mambo and 2 blocks from kanya, along the strand of beach that hosts all the preparties for amnesia, space, eden, priviledge and pacha. our rental car was $20eur/day for a total of $330eur for 16 days. that covering the majority of your costs, rounds out to about $2400usd for 16 days of heaven. the rest of your expense will go to club tickets, drinks etc, soveneirs, gifts and excursions around the ballearic islands. if enough people commit, it could end up being CHEAPER to rent a villa in the hills or on the beach and not have to worry about hotel staff or guest hour polices. the economics of scale also applies to chartering boats and yachts for the day
edit: it's also worth noting that these expenses include the euro hitting a historic high against the dollar (1.40 to 1.00) halfway into our trip

like all the megaclubs on the island, they hassle you about cameras at the door, but it's the only club that doesn't take the policy very seriously once you're inside. space and pacha are pretty nazi about it... pacha bouncers will shine green lasers at you from across the club if they see you holding a camera

we only got to hit up probably 6 out of the 36 or so beaches on ibiza, but cala benirras was my favorite by far. here when you close your eyes and lay back on the shore, you hear the waves crashing softly in front of you and crickets singing in a stereo panning effect behind and all around you in the forest. it's a very serene effect paired with the sheltered landscape and 'god's finger' sea stack in the distance and in spite of the crowd, it's a very quiet, peaceful place as i imagine everyone else is enjoying the same atmosphere...
my buddy brought a HD video camera along... so you all will be seeing a lil video from our trip soon
