cdj's and xone

I was wondering do they have cdj's and xone 92 in the clubs?
since cdj's are digital and xone 92 is analogue

I guess it depends on which club you're at. I've seen some clubs with CDJs (standard) and a Xone 92.

Most clubs I've been to though I've seen mostly Pioneers.

Re: cdj's and xone

Ugh. It doesn't really matter that CDJ's are digital and a mixer is analog.

Even if a club is using a Pioneer mixer (the only popular mixer that IS digital), the digital signal path ends at the mixer... a couple of XLR outputs come out the back and it's analog the rest of the way in most cases.

The best sounding mixers out there are all analog. Digital mixers simply have the advantage of more flexible routing internally for digital effects and such, with a clean signal path. But many people prefer the sound of a quality analog mixer.

And yes, many a club have Xone 92's in them along with CDJ's.

Re: Re: cdj's and xone

That is not always true. I played at a club the other day that was all digital. They actually used the digital outs on the Pioneer DJM800.

That's why I said "in most cases"

I'm sure they went into a digital processor/crossover.

But try feeding a digital signal into a speaker. I won't sound good

You have to drop out of digital at some point... both analog and digital can sound good if done right, but neither is always better than the other.

Yeah last night club I played at is digital to analog and sounded fine to me minus some weird sounds in there system at times because one of there speakers was half blowing and been like that for 3 years and they still haven't replaced it since I told em about it the first time I played there 3 years ago.

Are you an alt?

Why do you continue to post your stupid stories (or should I say blatant lies?) in the DJ Booth all day? It couldn't be more obvious that you're talking crap, and when it comes to the English language, your complete disregard for spelling and grammar, or perhaps lack of skill, does my head in hugely.

Go away.
