I gave up trying to be helpful when people began insulting my appearance, it's pretty useless what you say because they just end up doing it over and over and all you can do is bitch about it. Or of course get the cd I linked & come back with a bit of education about good music

This forum isn't truly "trance addict" it's a satire or it's a forum of a bunch of old men who whine about the "good ol'e days" back in the early 90s..when people like myself hadn't even heard of techno, let alone trance. I was into Jurassic Park/Dinosaurs, TMNT, Power Rangers and the like...not clubbing or raving haha, I didn't even know what a rave was till I was 13 in like 1998 (uh I was only 6, 7, and 8 back in those days).

And who can forget the time you posted in the COR requesting a drug dealing subforum so people could arrange to pick up drugs as they travelled? Well, probably most people since it was quickly deleted.

While you have a point that this place is often too negative, sarcastic and unhelpful, you're certainly not the right guy to present yourself as who knows how this forum should work.

More gold from this clown, he posted a reply to my first post with a bunch of links to "great threads from him I may have missed", then all of a sudden realized they only made him look worse and deleted the post. If only I could have quoted the post b4!!! DAMN!

That's definitely true. I have seen some posts from this guy and he sometimes makes me think he's an alt...like you can't be serious. But there's some hokier people on here. But he does have a point...this forum is quite negative (and you can argue this thread is negative but it just comes with the territory).

This is definitely not the place to talk about trance unless it's psy or some the old stuff. Maybe some techier stuff perhaps. But any thread relating to melodic/epic trance or the DJs who play it and producers who create it are bashed most if not all the time. That's just the trend on here. Then there's those who absolutely hate trance but still post on here..and bash it whenever they get a chance. Kind of sucks posting something on trance when you know someone will come in and say everything you like is shit. But it's best to just ignore them...wish I did that more.

It's true that sometimes people behave like dicks in threads that are about uplifting trance, like attacking the people who listen to it, without giving any reason. That's uncalled for. However most of the threads that turn into dogshit have subjects like: "what's your favourite track ever?", "what's progressive?", "am i the only one not to like trance anymore?", "don't forget voting in dj mag for armin". When you've been here for a couple years, reading that simply feels like your intelligence is being insulted. I try to ignore discussions about music that I'm not interested in, but in that particular kind of bullshit, it's almost hard not to make some sort of smartass remark.

The negativity in this thread is conflict with the other negativity in other threads. It's a double-negative, so all we are left with is a positive. ...Oh NO!

This forum is great and I'd take negativity over the whole plur-deal any day. Shitty analogy, but if you go around saying everyone is pretty, do your words mean jack? How about you never tell anyone, and then BOOM - you tell someone. Credibility much?

When it comes to music, I listen to the bitter, negative, criticizing dickheads that know real music. /ye, real to me anyhow.

negativity on the forum is just a way of rejecting another person's opinion more forcefully. Those who do it also contribute in their own meaningful ways. Purple seems to have deleted the post where he reminded us of his "meaningful" contributions. Ask him to search for posts made by those whom he thinks spew only negativity. He will be surprised see how much more they contribute to this forum in more meaningful ways than him.
