now what we need is input! what do we need to do to organize our crew? I am just out of any thoughts at the moment!

well first you need to make a list of all the peeps that wanna be in it.
Then there should be more than one organizer because that's too much for one dude to do all the time at the different get together.
When everyone goes to parties, they should have some sort of indentifier of being in this crew. I know that T-shirts are coming but maybe not everyone will be able to buy one so something has to be either free or very cheap. Another useful thing whould probably be a website of pictures. Well, I know I'm not even from Toronto but maybe next year I will be going to grad school there and I sure get to see a lot of you guys at events so don't mind my budding in.

you should also set up chapters .. like for certain areas of Toronto since everyone is all scattered throughout the city. Atleast that way people will know which TA's live nearby and be able to organize events..

so you might want to have say:

downtown TA's
Missauga/Coke/York TA's
Woodbridge
R. Hill
Markham/North Scar
South Scar/East York
etc.. you know the rest heh ..

and then maybe get a website up with a listing of all the members, profiles, etc.. so we can all contact each other .. :]

many of us on this board want to organize a TA crew, so we are just sort of brain storming ATM.

Thanx everyone for the input, so does anyone have anybody else in mind other than me to nominate for the job? And you are absolutely right I can't be the only one to do this! It would be way too hard, plus I don't live in Toronto ATM so it's kind of hard managing all this with out actually being there! u know what I mean?

Guys the main thing to organize is to actually find a PLACE to organize some event in...But i suggest we focus our attention on the "Free TA party for Now" if our input is strong the party might happen within 3 weeks, and there we can meet up and discuss everything in detail.

I dont think that setting up chapters right now is the best idea. First we should set up a TO crew, see how that works, see if we can actually can get our stuff together and pull it off, and whether it will be worth it. If so THEN we can expand, or split up into smaller units, and then make a website or whatnot. And I think that finding a place is high priority.

I was just watching a special on Internet predators. And we know how many lurkers go around these forums and I'm positive that when we plan meetings and shit, they are maybe going around and posing as tranceaddicts and having bad intentions.

If we are going to be setting up meetings maybe we should do not publicly post them but have it hidden somehow.

I don't know if he is interested but Swamper could be a good idea, he's probably got good connections and sources.... could be helpful.

okz..

yea juss like simple get togethers and stuff like that .. i'm up for it ..
cuz we can get social events going without actually havin to throw a 'party' per se. like the other nite there was a pool nite organized at DnB and apparently went pretty well. atleast this way we can all get a better idea of who lives around where so that we don't always have to wait for a party to meet up or chill..

anyways anyone in my area ? heh .. Pacific Mall TA massive !

^^I totally agree with you.

we should keep the details of planned meetups off the board (i.e: location,phone# etc) and instead pm/mail the details to those who post on the meetup thread... as for the regulars we could just set up a contact list or something like that. So we could send out the details to all of them at once each time we plan a get together. just my 2cents

the chapters proposal by desidel is definitely a good approach

should make a simple page with all the members and their contact info, location and stuff like that so ppl can see who's in their area (to bum rides HAHA) and what not...

definitely good idea....

just a page to organize all the information is a good start so we can see who's who and where they're from instead of asking ppl, where ya from???? and posting msn contacts..
