Don't fail on me, Cor.

I'm graduating in four months, and I'm now thinking whether or not I'm going to show up at the ceremony. On the one hand, as most of you might know, this kind of ceremony is really boring. On the other, there's just one more student graduating this semester (and he hasn't made up his mind yet) so, although there are going to be students from other courses, it will be a lot easier to orchestrate something "special".

I'm not sure about what I'm going to do, but I do want to have some fun at my own graduation ceremony. This is where the COR comes in. Can the CORe help me in this quest? Here's how the usual ceremony goes:

1) There's a roll call: We can pick any tune we want as the background music.
2) We sit down and remain in our seats for quite a while.
3) There's a couple of speeches... I've never really paid much attention to this part. Oh, we're supposed to make a speech too.
4) Yet another roll call. This time, though, we're supposed to get our degrees.
5) After a very long hour, it's over.

What should I do? Childish replies only, please, we're all grown-ups here

I've already planned things for a lot more time and followed through.

hmm.... that's a good idea, although ninjas are cooler. Besides, I'm graduating in Japanese Language, so being a ninja would make a lot more sense.

Show up completely wasted. Everything else will sort itself out.

get up and start talking about how tough this past year has been on you, and all your troubles. it even affected your relationship with your girlfriend, and you got into a huge fight and your mom got scared and said you're moving with your auntie and...

Don't wear anything underneath you graduation gown, it kicks things up a bit

Posted by chimera66 on Sep-27-2007 17:11:

During my undergrad ceremony I hid a cd player and magazine under my gown then I skipped my masters ceremony...graduations are boring unless the speaker is really good.

n00b! That was his colonel or whoever it was when Homer joined the Navy

"I'm a man of few words. Any questions"

then Homer was like:

"Is the poop deck really what I think it is," or something like that.

then again I might be the n00b and be way off.

BOON. they pulled it off twice. There was a picnic in the Simpson's backyard and Homer did the snobby dinging on his glass cup, cleared his throat and said the above. Then Bart hammered his fist on the table and laughed hysterically. I think it was the episode where Apu got married.

Ha!

Who the hell plays pranks at tertiary graduations?

Highschool maybe...

Ok, do this (won't work if the ceremony is outside really):

Go to a hardware store and buy a wireless doorbell. It has a sticky part that makes a loud chime, which usually goes inside your house, stuck to the ceiling, and then a button which is stuck to your front door.

Place the speaker part strategically in the room where everyone can hear it. Press the button in your pocket every ten minutes or so (if you do it too often people will work out where the noise is coming from).

Try and get a novelty one that plays music, or even two placed in different locations.

VERY funny when someone is making a shit boring speech and every three minutes they are interrupted by "ding-dong, ding dong" or the Simpsons Theme song...

^^ LOL would be great to see that executed properly
