What genre is this considered (tracklisting inside)

Pete Tong live @ Global Gathering 2005-07-31

Mandy vs. Booka Shade - Body Language (physical music mix)(White)
H2O - 'The Bouncer' (Underwater)
Mylo - 'Muscle Cars' [DJ T Mix] (Brestfed)
M.A.N.D.Y. vs. Bookashade - 'Body Language' (Get Physical)
Idiotek - 'Workin' It Out' [Audiofly Remix] (CDR)
Jamiroquai - '7 Days In June' [I Love My 303 Mix] (Sony)
Skeleton Key - 'The Conjure' [Steve Lawler Remix] (Renaissance)
Deep Dish - 'Swallow Me' [from 'George Is On' LP] (Positiva)
Deepgroove - 'Break Of Dawn' (Toolroom)
Paulo Mojo - 'Everybody' (CDR)
Godfrapp - 'Ooh La La' [Tiefschwarz Mix] (Mute)
The Killers - 'Mr. Brightside' [Thin White Duke Mix](Lizard King)

I know he spins house and trance, but what subgenre would this mix be considered? The song that really stood out is the Idiotek track. I looked him up on discogs and it's classified as house & electro.

Any insight?

Side note: interesting wiki page listing all electronia genres/subgenres HERE

I haven't heard the track so I have no idea what it sounds like but from the description it probably is electro house or tech house. Looks those up. Esp since it's listed under both electro and house, it only makes sense that it would be electro house.

well the last song is trance. the rest are some mish mash of house. tong usually just does house, and there isnt usually a whole lot of genre consistency, just big dance songs|

That's because intelligent people just listen to good music, not what genre internet forums tell them is the "Shit du Jour."

Yeah, but do we really need someone saying that 5 times a day, for us to understand? It's not like we've never heard it before, and it does not make you intelligent saying so.

What is your point again?

Everything on here is repeated ad nauseum, why should this be any different?

There is no need to make it worse. It's like people think they're "intelligent" if they say that in every one of these threads, and they must have a strong urge to post it, because there is one every single time. Just give the man some basic directions about where to search for that kind of music, that's it. Nothing more.
