New Ricardo Villalobos faux-album released as a Fabric compilation.

Also the Romanian scene is absolutely awesome these days. Check out productions and sets from Petre Inspirescu (latest 'Tips' EP on Cadenza is HOT), Raresh or Rhadoo.

Described as one of the best albums from the last years, definately check out Ellen Allien & Apparat - Orchestra of Bubbles on http://www.orchestra-of-bubbles.com/. You can find samples of all tracks.

It's not minimal techno, though. It's not even remotely similar to Hawtin's sets (which the OP seems to like).

That's like if I asked for heavy metal and you suggested Tony Bennett.

If you really like what Richie plays then check out his tracklists and grab some of the songs that you like. He plays a lot of stuff from his label, Minus and Plus 8. I honestly haven't been to crazy about the latest Minus releases, other then Gaiser - Withdrawal but Plus 8 always has great releases.

exactly.

If you are looking specifically for minimal, dont get the Ellen Allien and Apparat CD.

However, it is in my top 5 for 2006. If you are looking for good music, buy it

Minimal: Start with the base, M_nus label, Cadenza, Perlon, Kompakt

Dan Bell

Which is the logical thing to do...I don't know why so many people don't think to do it.
