ID Contest With A Vengeance (the ultra-easy(ish) edition!)

it's back!

the aim of the game is as always.. take a listen to the clips provided & try to identify each one. then record your answers in the textfile & when satisfied, paste them in a PM & send to me. you can re-submit as many times as you like before the deadline.

included this time are 80 IDs, most of which are pretty tame but a few should prove tricky. also in addition, there are five bonus clips at the end; all very well-known trance tunes, but reduced to 0.2-second clips.. can you make them out?

you get 1 point for a correct artist name, title, or mix name (if applicable) and any fully correct ID is worth 3 points. the bonuses are worth 4 points a piece, with no partial IDs accepted. this gives a total target of 245 points...

well done on making an easy contest without taking the piss, some repeats but not a problem with me, hehe. high scores will probably pop up i think

I think there should be a contest with absolutely no trance on it sometime... so I can actually compete.

Actually the previous ones were quite all over the place imo. This one is a lot trancey, yes, but there hasn't been one like that for like half a year. I'm all for variety, though.

One with 50 Austrian yodeling songs would be nice.

apologies if anyone feels variety is a little thin on the ground in my contests.. but my music collection is largely skewed in favour of trance, and i figured that wouldn't be too much of a problem given it's the primary genre favoured on this site. i tried to keep the ratio no higher than about 60-40/trance-other though, and used tracks from different eras too

Lol, I wasn't complaining. I realize that it's going to be predominantly trance. I'm just trying to give myself an advantage.

And I was just stirring up a conversation that's already been done 100 times before.

I like the 60 % trance, 30 % other electronic genre, 10 % whatever ratio.

i think i know some of these! yay and i kinda recognise the bonus ones too haha. dont think ill work them out though.

I really must send in my entry. Its not bad for once (shock horror)

can montana hold onto that narrow lead? can mart oust him & triumph for the second time in three contests? will camwin capitalise on his vast amount of partial IDs & make a surge for victory? will one of the underdogs make a surprise jump? or will cobalt wait & swoop in with a last minute entry & beat everyone again

the drama is just all too much. so lets take a break & indulge in the calmer (albeit equally dog-eat-dog) phenomenon that is... the unique IDs!

as it stands there are still 24 non-ID'd up for grabs, although only 11 without any partials..

the most fully ID'd sample is 19 (6 IDs), and the most partially ID'd shared between 21, 23 & 52 (unanimous. that means if you don't get them, you suck )
