How can I resist a set that includes the Timewriter tunes?

plus one. downloading now

Posted by tubularbills on Oct-07-2007 23:15:

gave it a listen, and loved it!!!

(well, didn't care for the Mulder track...ugh...) but otherwise an awesome mix...aside from that one track, i think it kept the same flow/style/theme the entire time which is awesome. good job!

I listened to this once and it was very good. ill listen a few more times before i write much more. didnt really care for the epic intro, but once you got deep it got really good

Downloading Looks nice.

Edit: Holy shit, that was obviously hosted in Oz. Nice DL bandwidth

IMO tune 2 belongs at the end of the set but otherwise when you got down to the proper deep house groove, set was awesome.

This will get a lot of listens next few weeks for sure.

Smooth and deep, eh? I'm in. Feedback to come.

Edit: make that "feedback" to come. Not feed.

Great set mate, really good stuff.

Definitely going to get a heap more listen time

Just finishing this up now. Let me preface this by saying that I am not a house fan. I cut my teeth on epic trance, and as commercial and cheesy as some of it may be, I enjoy the positive, uplifting feelings it generates within me when I listen to it. I probably always will, regardless of what other genres I come to enjoy. Lately I've been listening to more deep, melodic, and progressive stuff (Sunsurge's Windmill Sessions here in the forums, for example), so I grabbed your set last night. Deeper and smooth. Who can resist that, right?

This is simply good music that is very well mixed! Great set, mate. There's enough "funk" in some of the tracks to retain a housey feel to the set, but it also has that deep, almost "dreamy" feel to it that I love. Your mixing and programming are top notch in this set. Well executed. Well done. Zero complaints.

I really enjoyed The Mulder - I Take You Out To Space (2007). A dub version of that track would just be

Really enjoyed Budai & Vic - Once Again as well. Thanks for sharing this set. This will definitely get more play time in the days ahead.

the mulder track is a killer for sure

i think my favorite track though is Fonk Musik

How did you record this set?

The recording is so HOT, so full of sound. Fantastic. What equipment are you using?

if i ever come to perth I want to hear you live

You hit the nail on the head there, man. This is hot!

Ok so I've listened to this maybe 5 times now.

I'm not going to write a long review, but I'm just going to say this mix is REALLY good. I'm a frequent patron of plastic city as well.

It really makes me wish I was still in the club. This is exactly the kind of house I want to hear when I go out, no bullshit, soulful, deep, rhythmic, sexy, driving, smooth. and i am a huge proponent of the conga and latin percussion in house tracks. Also class vocals mostly. The best house vocals just bring you deeper into the groove. "Don't leave this place, follow my trace, i'll take you out to space, etc". They are rhythmic and textural, not narrative. Basslines are lush and rolling in this mix - love it. It's music that makes you feel alive, engages every part of your body

Really nice man. I'm not crazy about Blank in the beginning. Don't get me wrong, it is a favorite track of mine, but the place in the set makes it sound like the first 15 minutes are a previous deejay ending in a club and then the next deejay taking over the decks.

I would have kept it deep and funky from the first track until the mulder track, but that's just me.

regardless I will be listening this constantly over the next few weeks

Posted by Zoso on Oct-15-2007 20:29:

I'm bumping this because more people need it in their lives.

Posted by Slade on Oct-20-2007 04:47:

Thanks for the kind words guys, glad you enjoyed the mix.

Finally had a chance to listen to this set, I really enjoyed it. This is exactly the type of House I'm really into, your mixing was nicely done and some of the tracks on this set made me rush and spend a little on beatport. This is definitely going on cd.
