AgeHa, Tokyo...

So I'm going to AgeHa next weekend (Saturday 13th) to see AvB. Never been to this club before, so I was wondering if a few of you could share your experiences if you've been! I've heard it's nothing short of spectacular, but apparently you can't take photos / videos

c0re version: ageha ftw? post pix of ageha or stfu

Keep an eye out for a [major] earthquake: Tokyo hasnt had one in awhile.

no doubt could happen anytime soon.

fear is a waste of ones time caused by lack of familiarity with the experience. I for one had a personal experience with one earthquake back in Mexico City. [1992]

Lasted for about a minute and a half; quiet an experience. They freak me out and dont want to go thru one again. Tokyo is one of those cities that on a list for a big one. I would hate myself for visiting Tokyo's skyline while this happens.

Yeah, it'd ruin my morning coffee. As long as AgeHa is still standing, and AvB turns up...

I was in Japan during an earthquake last summer. I thought it was part of the show.

Ive been going to Ageha since it opened. If they could somehow teleport you there instead of taking a long arse train, it would be the one of the top 3 clubs in the world.

Ill be there tonight too, have fun!!

You oughta come live in Seattle, then.

Three "fairly large" ones in the last twelve years, still waiting for the big one we're supposed to get.

Honest question: Does that ever worry you? Knowing that "the big one" might just destroy a good portion of your area?

Wow! AgeHa was simply amazing! There were LOTS of Japanese and a lot of hot J-girls! I wouldn't have thought trance had a big following in Japan, and there were a load of gaijin; Mexicans, Spanish, Americans, a few Brits and Swedish too. Everyone was dancing by the pool outside to some heavy house, and it was the most laid-back clubbing atmosphere ever. People just generally having a good time. Moved inside at about 1:20, caught the last hour of Remy's set, then AvB came on at 2:30 - 6:15. Danced non-stop. A little cheesey, but nice to have gone to one of the best clubs in the world to do it.

Tracks I can remember in no particular order.

The Blizzard - Kalopsia (Original Intro Edit)
Vercocha - Carte Blanche (some remix!!)
Paul van Dyk feat. Ashley Tomberlin - New York City
Armin van Buuren - Rush Hour
Paul van Dyk - La Dolce Vita
Dash Berlin - 'til the Sky Falls Down
Tiesto - Adagio for Strings
The Blizzard - Kalposia
Markus Schulz Feat Andy Moor - Daydream
AvB pres. Tranquility Base - Oceanic
Thomas Bronzwaer - Resound
The Doppler Effect - Beauty Hides In The Deep (John O'Callaghan Remix)
John O'Callaghan feat. Audrey Gallagher - Big Sky (Agnelli & Nelson remix)
Perpetual Dreamer - The Sound of Goodbye
Filo & Peri - The Anthem
AvB feat. Racoon - Love You More
System F - Exhale
Ron van den Beuken - Dirty Rocker

If someone coudl help me ID a track, that'd be grand. It was an Armin-style lots of slow synth strings, suspensions and clashes...

Anyway, I highly recommend AgeHa! I didn't take any pics during the night, but got some and 2 videos at the end. You can get an idea of what it looks like...

Outside - 12ish..

The line-up:

Inside, after it'd just finished

Clubbers outside

'Almost' the view from the outdoor pool area with deck boards and bars etc.

Right-click, 'Save Target As': Movie - Inside AgeHa at 6:15am just after the place has cleared

Right-click, 'Save Target As': Movie outside AgeHa, people waiting around...

Agreed.. so much talent walking around I almost didnt notice the music!

Went to Nagisa Music Festival in Odaiba before AND after Ageha. More than 24hrs of great music! (though it wiped me out all day Monday)

Waoah Seattle.

I've been hearing that for years. You all there are sitting on something big. Let us all see if you people can hold your ground.

I'd really hate to wake up one day to turn on the TV, only to hear whole west coast is in ruins. =|
