^^^^^ um...to the guy picking the first round winners in 6 games??? The first round is a shortened best of 5 (which I personally think is STUPID).

I picked the Yanks in 4 assuming they could get a split in Cleveland. But they are playing in such a pathetic way offensively and not just Arod but the whole team. It's sickening.

The game last night should have been delayed with all those bugs. I'm actually quite surprised that both managers didn't complain to the umps...what a bizarre thing to happen at such a critical point in the game. The yanks are pretty much done, as are the Cubs I'm afraid. With those two teams out, my interest in the playoffs virtually becomes nil. On with hockey I suppose!

It will be at least a century between World Series titles for the Cubbies

Posted by jonze on Oct-07-2007 17:46:

haha, nice job cubs. the highlight of the night was when byrnes jacked a bomb and tbs kept showing the one cub fan crying. most pathetic fans ever.

My predictions awful just like the performance of all my sports teams lately. Could have possibly have 4 sweeps to start the playoffs?

I'm just praying the Yanks can take it to game 5. Westbrook and Byrd suck, Yanks SHOULD be able to score against them. Fausto and CC have been dealing. Will this be Torre's last game? Will Choke Rod come through?

Rockies v. Red Sux would be the worst world series ever!

I love it when Philly teams lose. Ahaha yessssss.

Jake Westbrook even being a playoff starter is fonkin hilarious... I know Yanks pitching sucks as well, but jesus... can't hit Jake Westbrook???? come on!

and let me just throw this out here... hey Juice... is the $50 million... oh and the $50 million TRANSFER fee for Dice-K still outrageous???

sadly, at this point in the post-season, the most exciting thing to talk about is if A-Rod will move back to SS when he comes to Boston, so Mike Lowell can stay...

thats how retarded this post-season has been so far...

Without question it's outrageous! He's have to do well for 4-5 years before I'd say otherwise, yet alone one playoff start against the injured and weak hitting Angels. Andy Pettite has started 36 times in the playoffs. So people are saying the contract signed by Pedro Martinez was brilliant now? It was good in that it made free agents to go the Mets but in terms of production over the long haul, it's pretty bad. Dice K's regular season record wasn't very good my man.

Arod is not coming to Boston, even if he does leave the Yankees. If he does, then the Yankees will no longer have to listen to all the fucking HORSESHIT about their 200 million dollar payroll. Honestly, I'm getting so sick of all the whining about it...shut the fuck up already to all people interested in baseball.

If the Yankees can rock the shit out of Paul Byrd, which is entirely possible, then we'll actually have a series come Wednesday.

I have a feeling that Joe Torre will be having his last October as Yankees skipper, even if they do get out of this round. And that's a real shame...

you might not think he'll come... and he might not come... but the Sox are a contender cause they got $$$$$.... so all I'm saying is... Sox will always be in the top 3 teams to get him...

and A LOT of people around here can see it happening, even though all the RED SOX NATION ******s hate the guy... cause he's actually GOOD... they're saying right now, "I hate gay-rod, but if he puts on a sox uniform, I won't mind him..." cause they're retarded...

I'd hate to see him on the Sox, for his sake... he's better than that!

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on Oct-09-2007 04:27:

well while you're at it, the Red Sox might as well hire Joe Torre too. I guess the Sox have to "stoop to the Yankee level" by buying everybody, even though that's precisely the reason for all the whining and bitching a few years ago when Boston couldn't get over the hump. Hypocrisy at its fucking best I suppose.

I can't say it any more emphatically....GO TRIBE, although in the end, I don't care too much and won't be watching the games too closely.

Posted by Thierry on Oct-09-2007 10:06:

Well I was right on all my winners of the LDS but not the number of games... who cares??? FUCK YOU YANKEEEEEESS HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Best pitching match of the playoffs coming up here: Beckett V Sabathia.. gonna be epic!! LETS GO RED SOX!!!

Posted by partyhopper on Oct-16-2007 06:05:

the unreal Rockies win the NL pennant

Posted by Member of X on Oct-16-2007 06:08:

Dice K still sucks, just pointing that out. 100 million well spent for 4 2/3 innings and 4 ER!

Rockies have won 21/22 games. That's absurd! Go Rockies. I'd watch Rockies vs. Native Americans. I'm not watching Red Sux if they make it.

The MLB playoffs have been thoroughly BORING the last 3 or 4 seasons. I don't think there's been an exciting World Series since 2002 when the Angels outlasted the Giants in 7 and of course, 2001 was a classic. This probably accounts for the horrible ratings year in and year out.

Unfortunately the Yankees aren't in the World Series because they have a nice history of letting expansion teams win it.

But I think we won't see them there for a looooong time because the whole Red Sox Dynasty has just started. Beckett, Dice-K, Papelbon, Okajima, Ortiz, Ellsbury, Pedroia, probably A-Rod... who want's to stop them?

The Yankees? looooooooooooooooooooool

btw... how did the Clemens-Signing pay off in the end?
