songs quality

how do i correct the sound of the songs?
all songs are 320kbs but some of them are louder then the other ones and when i record the set i can hear the difference,is there any way i can make them at same volume quality?

Try lowering or raising the gain.

when i do transition you can realy tell the sound difference

btw Im using xone92 and yes im new to djing

What I do is just skip through to the main part of the track, what I call "the beef". Using the gains I get it peaking at 0 on the level meters, you already know that the beef of the track is pretty much gonna be the loudest part.

If you do this with every track you cue up then you can't go far wrong with volume fluctuations

nowadays you can actually as mp3 compression fucks up the peaks in tracks often. so if you have a track that is very low in volume before the mp3 compression, it can seem that it's peaking at 0dB after the compression even though it really isn't (wasn't in the original uncompressed file). annoying problem, i've found. i even made a thread about it a while ago called "mastering of individual tracks" or something like that.
but anyway, yeah use the gains to set the tracks to similar volumes.

I didn't know that but thinkin about it I have bought the odd track that seemed to be badly mastered, sounds like it could be what you mentioned. Cheers skip.

You can use MP3 Gain. That program will level all your songs to the same decibels.

its all well and good giving him that to download but he really needs to learn to mix using the gains what happens if he plays someone elses tracks? hes screwed he will look like a fool if he cant even set the levels right no one i know does this they all just the gain its not really rocket science just turn a nob up or down it takes 2 seconds

Even if you set your gains right if you don't mix properly your levels will be all over the place. So if you're new to mixing yes it will sound like that when you listen to a recording of yourself. First step is using the gain knob to adjust the songs to the save volume. After that well you're on your own.

Eh well, just goes to show you that shit hot equipment doesn't make a good DJ.....
