Love Poundin' Sensation John Digweed - Gridlock (Digweed And Muirs Mixes) [RENX051DIG]

Tracklist:

1. Gridlock (Digweed & Muir's Stereo Club Mix) 10:38

2. Gridlock (Digweed & Muir's Stripped Down Mix) 7:00

Loved the extended 25 minute version on Transitions vol.3, looking forward to hearing the cut down mixes.

I love the Stereo Club Mix and included it in my last mix also a few days ago

Is the only difference between the two the length of the track?

Amazing mixes.

Grabbed it today and loved both mixes. Digweed struck gold with this one...

Dont think the BP samples are good form of judging this track, from those samples i dont get much of an idea.

Is the 25 min version getting released or just on T3?

sick sick sick.

really layered, chalked full of darkness and emotion - you can tell a lot went into this production. very impressed.

Maybe the BP sample are just too short, but these seem like they've totally lost that truly driving bass and spacey sounds that were present in the youtube sample in that other thread. I'm kind of disappointed these two releases are so different from that live version in the vid.

Oh, great to know!

So I'm assuming the Stereo Club Mix is the one I'm after then?

I was asking myself the same question

To each his own, of course. Me i'm hooked, i've given the 25 min extended and the short mixes 15 plays or something the last two days.

First thing I did after hearing the 25 min mix that comes with Transitions 3 was play it again. Amazing song, harkens back to the days of "Set In Stone" for me.

Well I thought it was good when someone posted the video of Digweed dropping it and now I buy the track and I'm actually really dissapointed. It's terribly boring.

It most definitely is simplistic in what it sets out to do - ie. a big dancefloor track, but was Heaven Scent any different really?

It's interesting you say that, because as I listened to these all I could think is "Well, they just made 'Heaven Scent' again and made it sound relevant to contemporary sounds."

That's essentially why I found it such a bore - well worn territory.
