DROID presents INTERFACE 20.0 aka Droid 5 year Anniversary w/ JPLS [M_nus] + more!
Cannot wait for this. 19.0 with Hearthrob and Ambivalent was insane. This should be equally amazing, too.

Droid Behavior + F.I. presents MODESELEKTOR live
[[[MODESELEKTOR]]] - BPITCH BITCH!!!! (1st ever LA appearance)
Irrereverent Berlin-based techno cut-ups Modeselektor -- producers Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary -- were known as Fundamental Knowledge from their 1992 formation until 1996, when the change of name was made. They connected with Ellen Allien's Bpitch Control label, initiating a series of 12" releases in 2002, which culminated in 2005's full-length Hello Mom! As their visibility increased with each release and live performance, they began to take on a heavier load of remix work, including mixes for several labelmates ( Allien, Smash TV, TimTim , Paul Kalkbrenner), as well as Miss Kittin, Knifehandchop, My Robot Friend, and Ninjaman . Second album Happy Birthday! was released in 2007, featuring guest spots from Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Maxmo Park , and Rhythm & Sound collaborator Paul St. Hilaire . A contribution to Bpitch Control's Boogybytes series of mix albums preceded the album by a few months.

From the newsletter:

| Droid celebrates 5 years of pushing bleeding edge electronic music through out LA's underground scene. This line up features debut performances by some of the most sought after names in electro, techno, acid, minimal, breakcore, and dubstep. If that wasn't enough the venue for this one is nothing short of amazing. The event will be held at an old factory space near the bridges in downtown LA complete with hydraulic lifts, live wires, industrial art and other dystopic hardware. Essential underground. |
Fantastic night. JPLS, Acid Circus vs. Drumcell and Audio Injection threw down stellar sets. Dark, industrial warehouse in the most industrial fucking spot in LA I've ever been to. Cool vibes, costumes, and insane visuals. Cute indie chicks too. I had an amazing time. I danced my ass off. More soon...

Last night was dope. It was awesome to see a little piece of Detroit in LA. Shit was so run down and industrial, couldn't have been any better. The vibe was killer. You could feel energy all around the dance floor. I don't understand why more people on here don't go to parties like this.
Big ups to the Droidbehavior crew. After five years of bringing techno you all have your shit together and know how to gather people to have a good time. Thanks.
