Sander Kleinenberg
What's the deal with this guy?Is he very good?I've heard lots of good and bad hype about him,but have yet to see him live or hear a dj set by him.
Is he like Sasha or Digweed caliber?
Noone throws down like he does on the terrace at Space come WMC time
noone use to rock it like sander, now i find him rather dull.

Seen both Sander and Hernan Cattaneo twice this year, in Miami during Conference (I saw Sander @ Shine, not at Space though), and again in Vegas in summer. At conference I'd say the Sander night was more memorable, but Vegas was Hernan for sure. I'll be seeing Sander again in a couple of weeks in Orlando.
To put it simply, Sander hasn't disappointed me yet. Always brings bangin' tracks.

He doesnt really play that bangin/electro stuff anymore, he plays with a bit more thought and structure. Instead of cheesey electro stuff he plays a bit more funk & Dark techier house. Well thats what ive gathered from his new cd, guess ill really find out when i see him playing next month
he has always played a more proggy, tech house than banging electro...i dont know where everyone is getting this from. fair enough 'this is miami' was a banging electro tune but nearly all his other productions (four seasons ep, my lexicon etc) and dj sets are more progressive, tech house. the normal agruement against him is that some people find his sets boring i.e. too structured if there is such a thing, too progressiive without ever really hitting a peak and not much variation. but then there are others who simply love that style - they argue that he delivers perfectly planned sets that progress to perfection. best things you can do is give a few sets a listen to....try some of his renaissance albums, maybe an essential mix by him, his new 'this is...' mix and just make up your own opinion on him.
he plays epic trance a la atb![]()
