Heroes Season 2 (POSSIBLE SPOILERS INSIDE - WARNING!)

So what do you lot make of Season 2 of Heroes so far? very very interesting. This is the best show that has been on TV for a LONG time.

One issue for me is all the side characters introduced in season 1 are pretty much forgotten. Not only that it's like the creators realized, hey we have a hit here we need to figure out where this is going. That scares me because it could drag the pacing of the show WAY down. I don't want to have 10 sub-plots and only progress those stories 5 minutes or so every episode. I want a few solid sub-plots. The Mexican brother/sister seems contrived to me and I'm not a fan. Claire's flying boy is lame and I miss her friend from Odessa. Amnesia Peter is semi-interesting but never a plot device I enjoyed. The best parts of the show right now are Hero in the past and the godsend assassins.

Yeah, absolutely, but its early days, we dont know which of the old ones will come back, well we know some are definetly not coming back, thats for sure....

The huge amount of clichs is slowly becoming annoying. Another "popular cheerleader quuen vs. nerdy freaks" situation, a super-catholic exorcist, the neverending FBI/Cop movie stereotypes in each Parkman scene, the "unknown stranger rescues poor working class irish broad from barbaric rapists" and the entire Hiro pathos..I know, Heroes ie meant to have a this fairy tale touch and is not supposed to be a realistic social study, but still..be at least a lill bit more creative!!

Posted by Simcut on Oct-06-2007 15:50:

So Season 1 isnt creative? are you having me on?

Season 2 is only 2 episodes old out of probably 24 ? so 22 more episodes left!

I really liked the episode!

soooooooooooooooooo good! Molly is a great actress and I wonder what Sylar is up to.

There are more triple double family heroes involvement than ever. Whats next???? Aliens gave them the powers?

I think the Hiro and Kensei in the past storyline doesn't really fit in with the feel of the rest of the show.

Evil twins thing needs to get somewhere fast. I wonder how they'll interact with the other heroes, if at all.

Sylar... die already. Candace... the actress in Season 1 was way hotter.

Btw, if you want to know how Peter got his lightning power check out the latest comic at http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/novels_library.shtml

Love the show. Season two has me just as hooked as the first. Although all this better go somewhere by the end of this season if not the third. I think all the plot twists will get annoying after that. The mexican yin/yang twins are boring, and the sisters evil power isn't very cool either, black eyes and choking death seem stolen from Carnivale's 'usher of destruction'. I hope sylar kills them soon.

Still love how clairs dad was the bad guy, now he's a good guy but still lying to his family etc. Wanna see him catch claire's geeky friend and toe tag his ass all over again lol

HATE peter's decision to not open 'the box' What a pussy. Such a cop out to extend his amnesia story.

I agree the cliche's in each heroes respective sceen are all straight out of a comic and you can see them coming a mile away, but the story itself can go anywhere.

Still hoping invisible man comes back. I wonder what hiro's dad's power was ??? the original 12 all seem to have had a power.

Really surprised to find Matt's dad being the nightmare. Trapping Molly in a coma-state was just lame

yeah i thought about that theory last night...

She was essentially trapped inside her *worst* nightmare.

Very intriguing power he had, cant quite figure it out yet unless it involves trapping other Heroes/ppl inside their worst nightmares and letting themselves perpetuate it

...obviously hes not one of the good heroes if he did that to his own son. hmmms.

Now Matt can do the same (at least get out of them) though, so he'll stop his dad.

Totally agree. Hiro went from the coolest character last season to the most boring this one. I really do not care that some english guy is his hero and hes helping him fall in love and blah blah.

And although peter not wanting to know who he was (especially after nbc's promotion of whats in the box) is completely lame, i like how he can just use all the powers at will including kristen bells power which is very interesting.

I love Heroes , the whole concept of genetics and evolution is great. Im watching Season 2 right now and Its getting good, whats the deal with the chick with the devil inside of her ? and why can her brother bring people back to life once she has cursed them ? Is Sylar gonna be cursed ? Its gonna be a long season, defo Season 3 in the pipeline.

I was really hoping that whitey would have died from being arrowed, and that Hiro would take his place entirely. Now he's just an emo kid in love... who can bend space and time.

I'm guessing we'll find out what happened and who he came into contact with in the timeframe between blowing up and waking up in a shipping container.

Here's my deal right now... and it makes Hiro more interesting: Hiro appears to peter early in the first season, much older and speaking perfect english (don't forget about when he tell's peter 'you look different without the scar'. there's a lot left to happen there). If, at some point, he has good control over space/time, why doesn't he just head back and chat with Ando instead of writing little scrolls? To make room for a plot? I hope that's not the case, but it most likely is.

That Hiro was from the future where Peter blew up New York and Sylar healed from Hiro's stab because he had taken Claire's power.

And Hiro tried to teleport back to the future (tm), but he failed. That's why he's writing to Ando.

Is Heroes anything like X-men?

yes

Ooooh, Heroes-heads, have we got some scoop for you!

Brace yourselves. Ready? OK. Three main characters will die on the show before January.

I know. Shocking.

But if you think you know which super-people will vanish from view, you may be surprised.

Execs are keeping the identities of exactly who will meet their timely demise tightly under wraps.

And while death, like low-fat food, is never a reason to cheer, the show has become too full of competing characters and storylines and itll be nice to see it streamlined a bit.

I'm not all that excited about this season of Heroes, sure I'm keeping up watching the episodes and wanting to know what happens next, but wouldn't really classify the show as "awesome".

Can't wait for the new season of Lost though, that's my fav tv series.

lost for the double win!

however, heroes has grabbed my attention.

It's interesting to note and wonder IF Hiro's childhood hero (Tzekan or whatever) is related to Claire (and the Petrelli's). although right now the writers have us convinced that their mutations are random i have a feeling their genetic.

we learned that Parker and his Dad share the same power but that his dad's has matured and grown with time. i wonder if these mutations are passed on in some form genetically and that sons/daughters/grandchildren share a similar mutation to their relatives.

btw, what does everyone think Mrs. Petrelli's power is?
