2004: White Sox
2005: Tigers
2007: Indians
2008: Twinkies

And who honestly believes that the AL East is better than the AL Central?

2004 was Red Sox

and I hope you are being faseeshous(sp), because we all know the east is a way better devision.

Sox fans are WAY too fuckin confident here... and I try and scare them by saying..."ummm tribe has two great pitchers, who will pitch FOUR times this series... don't write them off yet..."

but I KNOW that CC and Carmona both suck... Sabathia is good, yeah, but he's fat... Carmona isn't proven at all.... he is amazing, but he has his 8 ER shitshows every once in a while... and I bet he'll get rocked at least one game...

Sox in 4...

cause at the end of the day... its teh fuckin indians??? Grady, YES Please... but who else???? Hafner? NO, he sucks now... who else they got? no one... Kenny Lofton ain't gonna get you to the promise land....

Rockies and Sox are on a roll, I wouldn't be surprised to see two sweeps here....

either way I could give a shit less... Its CELTICS time baby!!!!

so you're more hyped about the CELTICS in 3 weeks, rather than the Pats going 16-0 this season?

Pats are un-stoppable... and they'll continue to win, Brady is MVP, Moss will catch 1500 yards... its a given... so not a huge deal... I guess you can say we're spoiled... but whatever...

I'll go back to being ecstatic about the Pats when they're playing the Colts in the AFC Championship... going for win number 18... but other than that.... CELTICS BABY!

I love how you are the QUICKEST to jump on a bandwagoner, when you're the BIGGEST one of all... dipshit...

and stop with defending your bandwagon ways.... we all know you're the KING of jumping, so STFU!

and there's a reason why T.O. is waiting to OPEN his mouth.... because he knows he can't talk shit before the game, cause he won't be BACKING it up...

I wish I could watch Asante covering T.O..... which is SAD, T.O. should dominate him, but he won't..... but I got a wedding, so I'll miss the whole game.... so I'll only get to hear about how badly the Cowgirls did today....

even though the Tribe beat out the Yankees, they did so in convincing fashion that earned my respect. They have a classy manager and a wealth of YOUNG talent that's going to make them a contender for years. Besides, I fucking can't stand the Red Sox and their undeservedly arrogant fan base lately. Seriously Red Sox Nation (how lame is that term), you've won ONE fucking WS in the last 90 fucking years. If you start winning several in a row over the next decade and form a dynasty, then you can brag all you want. But for now, the Red Sox team is still only a one hit wonder.

I say Tribe in 7, but something is telling me that that crazy Rockies team is winning it all this year. They are so whacked!

Mark from Philly offers an inspiring defense for Manny's home run preening: "When Manny went deep, my first thought was, 'Quit posing, Manny, we're still down 7-3.' Then it dawned on me that Manny probably had no idea what the score was. In fact, he probably isn't aware that baseball games are determined by which team scores more runs. Manny's only point of differentiation comes when, after hitting a home run, he sees his teammates waiting for him at home plate -- it's at that point he knows it's time to go to the strip club."

hey what's up with the scheduling this year? Why have a break in between Game 4 and 5 when both are played in Cleveland? It makes far more sense to have a break between switching cities with the 2-3-2 format. The Rockies will have to wait what...9 days before the Series starts? That's totally unfair.

Goddamn television networks dictate and ruin everything and MLB is so gutless it won't stand up and fight for proper scheduling.

pfff. With over the hill Schilling pitching on Saturday? I doubt it.

On an unrelated note, Joe Torre rejected a 1 year 5 million dollar offer (a 2.5 million dollar a year pay cut) although it was bonus laden based on playoff success in 2008 (1 million more each playoff round victory). What a slap in the face to one of hte greatest managers EVER!

Seriously, who the fuck runs the Yankees these days? A bunch of clueless CEO's? I love Donnie Baseball but is he really ready to take on the managerial duties of the Yankees? Guys like Rivera, Posada, Arod, etc all might leave now.

I won't be surprised if the Yankees miss the playoffs next year, just like after Billy Martin left the Yankees in the early 80s for like the 5th time...the yanks sank into mediocrity despite having all star players. I think everyone in the front office will be regretting this come next season.

Thanks for everything Joe. You will be missed by all true Yankee fans who appreciate what you did and all the fucking shit you had to deal with.
