I'm actually flying back to SFO the next morning Oct. 28 to catch Markus and Armin @ Slide/Ruby that evening. It will be a HELL of a Halloween

Koolaid74 are you coming with me this time?

We didn't really have a plan for halloween until I saw this last night. I called her to let her know and she's got very excited about the news. She told me that she's looking on line now for a costume. I'm supposed to pick it up here and bring it over to Korea. We always dress up for Halloween. We did Monster Massive last year and it was fun.

I'm only staying on the South side. I don't have plans to cross the north border

damn...

oh well...

must be pretty crazy out there, i have always wanted to go the S/K and check out Panmunjeom the Joint Security Area in the DMZ. I have always been fascinated about it. One of my x g/f's Korean and she sparked my interest in the s/k and n/k relations...

Allright! ~20.00 USD!
Seriously though, have fun. Korea, especially Seoul has an amazing nightlife catered to the younger crowd. Can't wait to visit back when I go study abroad.

I owe Jinny some good parties. She's so bored there and I'll will make sure she enjoys our time together. We going to do other things but definately there will be CLUBBING in our schedule.

The Seoul night life is amazing. 24hr parties and NO Stupid LAST CALLS. But you are right, it's a younger crowd. I always turn heads when I party because the kids always wonder " Ahjasi Wehgre?" Look at the OLD MAN go Nuts

I also love the look at the bartenders faces eveytime I tip 'em. They don't tip in Korea.

I've always been curious about the club culture in South Korea.

Do they even know the DJs? lol

There is a good EDM scene in Korea. Rave used to big there but also died a few years ago. Now the EDM scene is still considered alternative music. The crowd is much much younger. The average age of clubbers is 23 y.o. You will be considered OLD if you are 30 y.o.

Most if not ALL the top 20 DJs have played in Korea. As you can see from my post I'm able to catch 3 top ranked DJs in my 2 week stay. I also see a lot of tourist during the shows from Europe and other parts of Asia.

BTW, don't make the mistake of thinking that S. Korea is almost the same as N.Korea. No, No, No! N. Korea is like an entirely different planet. Mean while S. Korea is just a few notches behind Japan. S. Korea now looks like Japan just 8 years ago.

What a great party! Walked in the Venue and Steve just got started with his set and he was already banging it. The place was small and intimate. As I expected the crowd was young but a bit reserve so Jinny, myself and Jennifer (friend) stirred up a PARTY!!! I walked up to Steve to say hi to him and let him know that he was rockin it.

Steve was animated as usual, interacting with the crowd as he was playing. He played hard all night long only giving us a few breakdowns to take a break. I don't recall sitting down myself as I only took bathroom breaks and Bar runs. Jinny and I were dancing and jumping through his rocking set. He played 30 mins pass his scheduled 2 hour set which the crowd appreciated. Right after his set he waved me over to have a shot with him which turn into him pouring vodka in my mouth.

A minute later one of the promoter showed up with an ice cream cake that later was used for a mini food fight. I don't think the locals expected something crazy like that from their guest DJ but they loved his down to earth persona. Steve even joined us on the dance floor as the closing DJ played. He stuck around for another hour just sharing drinks with us. Super Cool dood

He said to let everyone know that he is looking forward to his return at Ten15 on Dec. 8.
