iThis and iThat - what's it all about?
why is there a trend to put a small "i" at the begginning of brand name, like iRiver, iPod, iCool etc. what's it all about?? i could understand if it was only the Apple company doing it...

you didn't seem to understand the question. i know it's a great marketing name and catchy etc. but why do several companies expoit it? i mean isn't there supposed to be any patent on the usage of "i" and a capital next..? maybe Apple ownes one, no? i would apply for a patent if i were to invent the iBrand thing

iCan't
believe no such patent exists
its called a trademark
and I'm not entirely sure you can trademark a letter.
A logo yes, a name yes, a letter?
maybe a big corporation could (or could try) but iVibes came before them
add to the list

A couple of reject promoters just threw an iParty here in Texas.
As far as iKnow (
), Apple copyrighted word "Pod", but not the little "i" that comes in front of it... So everyone else is allowed to use it.
Why are other companies whoring it when Apple is clearly the first and most popular to use it... I don't know.
you can i a-this, you can i a-that
holly shit!!! i didn't know the forum automatically replaces the word "(C)unt" with ****
