Favorite cover art?
it occured to me that while a lot of edm videos and album art are sub-par, theres a lot of creative and inspiring cover art as well, what are your favs?
heres a few of my picks..

there is good album art in nearly every genre of music. Artists and designers love to do them, and there are few creative limits.
Sure you can find a lot of very cool progressive design with certain labels, but i am sure you will find that in other genres as well.
I think there are numerous topics though on this.#
itäs funny though, today i was in the record store thinking the same thing.
I like the cover of Kaito´s Soul of Heart better than the one you posted. The photo on that cover is taken by Kaito (hiroshi watanabe). very talented guy.
related fun facts
Henrik Schwarz and Melon are graphic designers.

mediocre album, awesome cover
some others:

(chairs on the wall are effing brilliant, just like teh album itself)

..

Far better than the shit US cover, which butchers this lovely image. It encapsulates the three main sounds of the album: nature, classicalism and high technology.

I don't really like much of The FSOL's album covers, which seems to be dated computer-generated crap, but I really love the timeless Papua New Guinea motif by Buggy G Riphead, and this is the best incarnation of it.

Not too sure about the text, but image is perfect for the music.

Hats off to William Orbit. This cover, the album title and Water From A Vine Leaf briefly convince you that this is the most exotic and mysterious record you'll ever hear. Shame the rest of it's a bit naff.

You can't talk about art design in a music thread without Underworld. They just do this kind of thing effortlessly, and it perfectly sums up what you're about to hear: dark, confusing and intoxicating, which is what all good cover art should do.
Emerson, Lake and Palmer: Brain Salad Surgery.

More or less all covers that Hipgnosis had a hand in.
