ok this has seriously been pissing me off for the past couple of days.....the site either doesn't load at all and i get a "connection reset" error.....or when it does load it gets stuck and starts lagging after about a minute of browsing. anyone else have this problem? the thing is my friend who lives in hollywood, says it works fine and fast for him. this is ridiculous, is it just my computer or a problem on their part?

.....btw i posted in their forums and no replies so far, and i can barely get the forums to load.

must be a problem with your connection. try using IE if firfox is not working.

it works fine for me.

ie7 is just as bad if not worse because when it actually does load it it only loads text links and no flash, even though i have the latest flash plugin installed. i've tried it in every computer in my house and it doesn't load, and its really frustrating because i bought some tracks this morning and i was only able to download half of them.

sounds like you have a bad route to beatport.com. try running a traceroute to confirm.

see if using a proxy helps. i bet that's the problem.

hmm, that actually looks good.

the only other thing i can think of is maybe something's wrong with you account, since you said you tried it on multiple machines?

might want to email their support and see if they have any ideas. you might not be alone with this weird issue.

Posted by bucke on Oct-14-2007 00:00:

i emailed them this morning, and they haven't replied yet. its really weird though because it used to work fine. don't know what happened.

so get this.....i connected to another wireless network other than my home network and now it seems to be a lot more responsive. what do you think could be the problem with my home network?

Disable your firewall... see if that works.

also, try changing your DNS. it's likely to be one of these two.

in windows? go to your network properties. its the same place you would change your ip/dhcp settings. try 137.151.1.1 as your dns (just to test)

keep your ip the same that is is on your network (probably dhcp, or you may have to give it a static one...i forget)

just manually set your dns to 137.151.1.1 to test if that's the problem
