global warming
will it get to a stage where everything is blamed for global warming....
Greenpeace urges kangaroo consumption to fight global warming
| quote: |
| Mark Wakeham urged Aussies to substitute some red meat for roo to help reduce land clearing and the release of methane gas from flatulent cattle and sheep. ``Kangaroos do not emit greenhouse gases. They are not hooved animals either so they don't damage the soil,'' Dr Diesendorf said. |
LOL!
'nuff said
Don't sheep and cows excrete methane through their mouth?
Maybe we should eat some koalas while were at it.
Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize

a fckin, McKanga burger

one things for sure, if we all drank wallaby milk, instead of cow milk, we would all be alot healthier and disease free.

greenpeace are stupid; emotive over solid research.
In order for kangaroos to ever take the place of cows and sheep, they would need to be farmed. This requires a lot more than putting a barbed wire fence around them.
cows and sheep have had thousands of years of selective breeding on them, to domesticate and make them stupid. In other words, they are just big walking meat packages (leaving dairy out for the moment).
kangaroos are not domesticated (and would take 100s of generations to do so), nor do they produce offspring as readily as bovines (to the best of my knowledge).
And the dairy industry can't really be replaced by marsupials lol.
Wallaby milk would have a lot of good stuff in it, as the young start taking it when they are still basically a foetus.
