dates would help..

Posted by jester on Oct-15-2007 14:23:

Tuesday - Salon Daome (Microzoo)
Thursday - Tribe / Parking
Friday - Stereo
Sunday - Stereo

Plus there are other places you can go to. Depends on what you want to hear and what kind of crowd you like.

whenever my 400hp golf is ready for a road trip
I wonder how it will like the Petro Canada 94(or is it 93?)

Posted by Spin Laden on Oct-15-2007 16:44:

well, if you like trance (and I suspect you do), I would hit up Andy Moor on the 26th @ Stereo (see other thread for details). There's also:

House Nightclub
Club Opera
Millenium
Red Light
Circus
Tribe
Parking
1234

..for your edm. Club Opera is very busy on Sundays so I would do Andy Moor the Friday, Saturday do Tribe & Circus and Sunday do Club Opera.

Hehe yeh every city has those places.
I have friends in MTL, but the're not that big into EDM/Clubbing, that's why I'm asking here

oh I know. I'm usually in town for just the massives and of course a few other unmentionables so I never really have time to get into the essence of Montreal. It all depends on what the threadstarter prefers.. I mean, is he/she open-minded enough for Parking and Stereo on a reg night?

Posted by Marcus007 on Oct-15-2007 17:51:

hes from ottawa what does he know hehehe

Posted by Spin Laden on Oct-15-2007 17:55:

lol

we should swap cities.. at least I would hit up all those mint bookings you guys got lately instead of hanging out at italian bars on the West Island

you dont need to be

just go to academy, cherry, daome, even velvet if theres good promoters throwin a party...

you can dance your asses off at these places, hear great tunes, drink and they arent gay clubs.

andyeah stereo and paring have some good bookings but on a lot of nights they can both be pretty average if you ask me

Posted by Enjoy on Oct-15-2007 19:30:

Greg doesn't like gays! You heard it here first!

he's just singling out gay venues and pretty much saying how its an adventure to hear good house music because you have to deal with clubs like parking and stereo. fact of the matter is you dont if you dont want to.

theres plenty of good house music at straight venues.

i go to stereo, love a good party there-

parking is ok it can jst get super sketch when you see like 8 foot trannies off their face on like meth or something.

Well, one thing about many edm joints is that you're gonna be surrounded by guys no matter what, unless it's a very popular booking and/or a massive. I was at the Guv for some huge bookings and I swear Black and Blue probably had way more females to look at.

If you or your friends wanna meet someone of the opposite sex while you're out, go to the places I mentioned or the gay friendly places..much better odds there

Posted by RayRayy on Oct-15-2007 19:43:

I was at Academy friday night...i had a good time.

what? lol

maybe at guv, but not in montreal dude

theres more hot little house music girls here than you can shake a stick at

Posted by Spin Laden on Oct-15-2007 20:00:

supply me with a Montreal list for that please. The Guv was sooo bad for that that I had to wear welders goggles to avoid eye damage. Pathetic

just go to a real fucking party and not some bullshit massive dj spectacle of nonsense and you'll find them yourself

i swear if half of TA went and had fun a just a real fucking party...

anytime you're in town and want to come to cherry lemme know... there will be hot chicks.

fucking shannon elizabeth was there what else could you ask for?

Posted by Spin Laden on Oct-15-2007 20:10:

the last two massives in Montreal, plus Beach Club.. if Cherry can top that well...

If there were such a thing as heaven (or hell) on earth, it was those massives. Never seen a concentration like that in my life. Shannon Elizabeth? I got over her years ago when I found out she wasn't Russian

Posted by Allied Nations on Oct-15-2007 20:15:

like balenblanc? the biggest waste of time of 2007?

but really i cant blame you... you dont actively follow the club scene and while you probably listen to loads of famous djs livesets and maybe some locals, you arent out there weekend after weekend rocking it out. if you were we wouldnt be having this conversation.

you're the holiday partier.

nothing wrong with that but id be careful with any generalizations you have about montreal and its house music nightlife.
