This week is Waste Reduction Week

Lots of reduction initiatives at my office this week, like the first thing I noticed were the little plastic creamers were replaced with full cartons.

That's a good step. For far too long, convenience has taken priority over conservation, and sensibility.

Now if society can make these types of changes through out their entire lives, we will back on a good road.

My work cafeteria is OK in that department. We have the ketchup plungers.

OK, back on topic....

In Aurora, along with the introduction of the green bin,
Garbage pick up has been changed from once a week to once every two weeks. However, blue bin pickup has been increased from every two weeks to every week!

I still have my 2 can quota for garbage, so I am now even more motivated to sort my garbage better.
