lol I just pick whatever ones are popular when I drive around downtown, just so happens I drive through Chinatown a lot lol. Canadians only have poutine and that's only in Quebec. England has deep fried Mars bars and Fish n' Chips. I don't think Ethiopians have food... ok that was mean...

I like Italian, especially meatballs...

but I also prefer some:

I love to try new things from other cultures... Although Turkish food is what I grew up with I do enjoy Sushi/Teriyaki the most...

Depends entirely on what I have a craving for. Variety is the spice of life. If hungry enough, buttered bread tastes like heaven (and I hate buttered bread)

Recently I've been on a cheese kick. Got some killer cheese from my sister in Lansmere. Eat it three times a day for 2 weeks now (it was a 3 kilo block!!!)

That just reminded me of that Indiana jones movie part where they open a monkey's skull and hes still alive.....scoop out his brain.

Sick part

It's a difficult question, made so more difficult by the fact that the skill of the person who prepared the food greatly influences my enjoyment of it. I voted Italian, but I also like American, Teriyaki from the Japs, Mediterranean, East Indian, and definitely Mexican. From the choices not on the menu (heheh) I also like German and French (a good French chef can make ordinary potatoes taste like heaven). Generally, my cultural conditioning makes me favour European food over Asian food.

I also usually have thai once a week also.
(asian food is my staple)

next to that, I love tastey indian curries (the hotter the better)

then Greek food (fresh salads and feta)

then french food (its SOOOOOOO good, but a bite will contain 14629846892364 calories)

lol

They do actually. I've ate at a Ethiopian Restaurant before - there's one at college/bathurst.

It was actually quite decent.

Mexican is tops, but korean food has grown into a close second in the last month or so. I didn't even know what korean food was until like a month ago, now I absolutely love it, but still dont know anything about it (other than bul go ki and soju sp?). Do you have any suggestions for me in the line of amazing korean restaurants, dishes even ingredients ???

if you like bul go gee, you gotta try galbi (marinated beef shortribs)

try tansooyuk (deep fried chicken in sweet and sour sauce)

cha jang myun (noodles with black bean sauce)

for bit spicy, dwae ji bul go gee (pork w/ onions and hot pepper sauce)
and jampong (spicy seafood soup w/ noodles)

don't try dog

soju sucks. way too expensive

Don't worry I think i'l avoid dog. But holy fuck all that shit sounds amazing man, i think im going to have to go out like 5 nights in row. I dont know why korean food isnt more popular, Its much better than chinese food.

i agree. less greasy and more flavourful in general, plus IMO more varieties (like more seafood dishes for example)

then again, a lot of chinese places are bastardized canadianized version

just don't try the hardcore korean food until you're used to it (like the blood sausage, whale, boiled pig feet, etc

but once you try galbi, any other BBQ you go to is just not the same.

there are all you can eat korean bbq places around GTA where you can eat all the meat you want, korean grill style

oh, and you gotta like kimchee, or you're not enjoying korean food

Posted by jchung52 on Oct-16-2007 08:08:

chinese and most asian foods except sushi... i dunno why, i think cuz seaweed makes my stomach weird but i like everything else. i also enjoy a good steak now and then, chicken wings (honey garlic then working my way up to hot), peanut oil fries (so tasty). i like spicy food (south american style). and yea.. i jsut smoked a couple buckets... oi my stomach grumbles
