2007.11.16. VIBRASPHERE LIVE w/Shakti Collective @ The Reverb

Shakti Collective proudly presents an event not to be missed

Tierra Azul

featuring

VIBRAPHERE LIVE
(Sweden: Tribal Vision Records, Digital Structures)

For close to a decade, Swedish duo Rickard Berglf and Robert Elster have been pumping out tracks from their Cloud 99 Studios. Their first three albums, Echo (2001), Lime Structures (2003) and Archipelago (also on Digital Structures) are regarded seminal releases. Riding on the back of their successful 2006 release Archipelago (and its subsequent remix cd), Vibrasphere released its fourth album, Exploring the Tributaries on Tribal Vision Records, which sought to experiment with sounds from a wide range of styles including club influenced progressive, electro-minimal and downbeat-chill. Rickard and Robert have put to good use their years of studio experience in creating a sound that will be both timeless and contemporary. For this performance Rikard makes his return to Toronto to make the dance floor glide with Vibraspheres smooth and uplifting sound.

how is the venue like? I really want to go to see Vibrasphere

Posted by ShaktiCollectiv on Oct-17-2007 18:41:

The venue is big with a good sound system. We will be doing lots of decor for the event so it will look impressive. In addition, there will be a second room of chill, down tempo, dub step with a very strong ambient for your dance breaks.

sucks. My first time at the reverb though, heard its tiny and dirty, NICE !

edit: wonder if they'll be playing tunes off of the tierra azul album, or if it will be like the recent set geroin posted

advanced tickets? where to buy ?

Posted by ShaktiCollectiv on Nov-02-2007 15:50:

To answer some questions:

I am not sure what Vibrasphere will be playing but probably a mix of his most recent album and Archipelago and some newer unreleased material.

In terms of advance tickets you can pick them up at

Shanti Baba, which is located at 546 Queen Street West.

This is shaping up to be one fantastic event. See you in a couple of weeks.

what is the venue like? on one end, i've heard its small, dark, and dirty, which would be fucking awesome if it was, on the other end ive heard its a medium sized venue. anything to compare it to?

Posted by ShaktiCollectiv on Nov-09-2007 17:01:

Although the Reverb definitely has an underground darker feel to it, it won't be dirty and we are doing quite a bit of deco for the event so the space will look impressive.

In terms of size the venue is medium sized and can fit quite a few peeps. In addition we have the second room in Holy Joe's for a chill room, which will allow for enough dance room.

Only a week to go. Looking forward to seeing a bunch of addicts out.
