Weekly DJ's WANTED

So yeah, I've decided on my radio show that I'm going to play a special DJ's mix one a week. Here are the requirements:

Mix must be mp3 format. Must be 10-30 minutes long.

so yeah, its kinda like free advertising i guess all around california and around the world. Just post here the link to the set, and yeah i'll play it. Later i will post a link to where you can stream the radio and listen to it and what not. Also im looking for house / trance / drum n bass..or well basically anything but goa.....

more info to come.

dude, no one is really going to waste their time making such a short mix, unless you're like tiesto or something.

min a guest mix most people will do is 1 hr.

considering most likely your listeners aren't going to be very high, well...

That's bollocks, I get people doing 30 minute guest mixes for my radio show - most DJs prefer it cos it doesn't take as long out of their busy schedule for them to do it!

A 30 minute guest mix is only short if the only way you know of mixing is end-to-end tracks with 8 minutes of each tune in between - I'm not really knocking mixing like that, it works really well in a club but it doesn't take a lot of slightly creative thought to fit 8 tracks in a 30 minute mix, with which you can do quite a lot.

Again, it's radio so you don't necessarily have to build up smoothly like you do with a club set, as Oreoh says - it's a showcase. And it's just a feature on his show... if it's a 2 hour show then you can't really expect half of every show to be taken up with a guest mix, he's got other things he wants to put in his show and 2 hours goes very quickly!

I'd be up for recording one for you, drop me a pm.

Am I the only one who doesn't like this guys attitude?
Just as a music maker chooses the beats
The DJ chooses the songs
The Producer chooses the DJ

What's wrong with being a producer as well? Wouldn't it be better to have your show 2x as often but have a great guest DJ every second week?
