[DARK trance] Takkra - Laguara (Original Mix)

[omg FRESH LINK]

This track I wanted to focus mainly on a very dark atmosphere, with a hint of emotionality.. it might work on the floor, I've included something that would make people go nuts, if they already are hehe..
I found out about automation clips as well, really handy hehe..
Then I wanted to have a clear production quality, but it seems that clearness costs volume.. I hope to get some tips on that .
Then it would be nice that you guys (and that one girl, woman ) enjoy the track!

here's the link:

[ .? .lick here ]

cheers to all,

And a reminder, Amsterdam Dance Event 2007(Holland) starts tomorrow!!

(The track doesnt really stop @ 5:36, I did'nt do the outro yet. But if you want to hear a remix of the most famous sound of all, you click here )

I dont feeling forced to give a coment on this at all...

Sounds very unusual what you use to do - and really interesting! Beautyful melodies, especially that one that plays of the strings in the background! Just think that hornsynth takes over to much, maybe a bit lower? I like the atmosphere! Nice pianoplay too! Great job Takkra!

Takere!

Greetings, Takkra! Long time no see...

You'll have to bear with me, I'm listening to this track on a new set of headphones that I just recieved today. I'm still getting use to the sonic character of these beauties.

I like the kick and bass, but I'm not use to the bass feeling this deep on a pair of phones, so I can't tell which is muddiness and which is my inexperience on this device. I like the pattern -- the bassline has a good bubbly rythm.

The synth lines tore through after the breakdown nicely. I too, appreciate the very subtle use of the piano at the end of the track.

Not entirely my cup of tea, but I enjoyed the bassline, and the ambient effect of your pads. Keep up the good work.

akia so nice of you to comment hehe
im glad you liked it, and you're right.. now I listened to the track again that "horn"synth as you call it is a bit too upfront ill turn it down a little!

..whoa long time no see 4on4'er the muddiness might be the track itself though, I made it entirely on laptopspeakers and cheap headphones haha ..ill look into that when I get to my home studio lol. thanks for listening, glad you enjoyed at least something ! cheers to the both of you

anyone else?!

..what happened to these once so great fora?

Posted by mark_gg_daniels on Oct-21-2007 04:38:

hey, just listenning now - good kick, always rd to find greta sound. bass good, that background bass at beginning i think you should not let it get so high (filters) as you begin to not hear it after while.

like the use of percussions, etc... a open hi hat may work for you somewhere in there. Always adds good flow i think. I tihnk generally consider adding some more percussion, so it really starts flowing - you know ehn you begin nodding youre head kinda thing. Notice theres no snare, or clap.... maybe this could help aswell

like the way that lead sound gets faded out at breakdown, good effect... i think, something im gunna nick as my song has similar thing.

like breakdown, maybe a more trancey sound could be used, and when you use the kiks in breakdown, they could be harder, maybe some delay on them here.

thanks, ive been putting a lot of time into making that kick
thanks for the pointers, percussion hasnt always been my strongest part! and thanks for listening

hey -i suck at percussion as well - all ican really do is kik, snare, and the hat on the offbeat - i just use samples, makes life so much easier - you can also use chopping tools, or change the eqs to make the sample youre 'own' - so noone will notice where you got it from. I got lots of samples, if you want some let me know and we can sort something - dont worry im not trying to sell them, they r free.

just reply on here, and ill get an emailo - tah

Posted by Takkra on Oct-25-2007 09:55:

yea I always try putting samples in too.. but I always delete them coz i feel so un original then lol.. the same with those free loops you get from websites.. (oops did I offend a lot of major producers now?) Ive got a couple of my own "homemade" percloops, ill pm you soon .

btw Bidor did you get the pack yet?
