Luminary splits

Amsterdam, My World, Dark Eyes, my favourite Wasting and now Believe.
Reasons unknown for ending their collaboration.

I liked Luminary, but hopefully he ll concentrate more on his solo project Arksun. We need more tracks like Arisen.

Noooo!

Luminary - Amsterdam (smith and Pledger remix)

Probably my all time favourite track, it just had everything, nice bassline, unobtrusive but beautiful vocals, and a sweet, sweet melody.

To be fair, only Amsterdam was on Anjuna, though Ashley tomberlin can be called an anjunagirl. Pretty decent, but as mentioned, I really prefer his solo project Arksun. A follow up to Arisen was on the cards, I hope he hasn't scrapped it

Speaking of Arksun. Is he a brother to Tony Rapacioli (aka Kansai, The Dreamcatcher, Samui, Praha etc) ?

it was a guy & a girl

give the originals of 'wasting' and 'amsterdam' a whirl. i hate anjuna & pretty much all modern vocal trance but i thought those two were fantastic. smooth, atmospheric & understated

hidden logic's 'time' & arksun's 'desire' are both in a similar vein, albeit without vocals

They were pretty good in my opinion.

The project spawned some nice tracks.

original Amsterdam was bliss.

i liked my world

Posted by GoSpeedGo! on Oct-18-2007 21:05:

If i've ever liked any vocal trance tracks from the new trance era it was Luminary.

Posted by DJLafleur on Oct-18-2007 21:49:

aww =( i loved dark eyes to death

oh well arksun can get working on some new stuff now

Posted by TranceArmstrong on Oct-18-2007 22:35:

i really liked my world - andy moor remix

Too bad about this. Luminary consistently put out god stuff, buoyed by some great remixes as well.

+1 to a follow up to "Arisen" though.

They've put out some well produced tracks over the years. My favorite was Amsterdam, it was a toss up between the original and the Smith & Pledger remix. It's a shame they've split up, one of the few vocal trance producers that I've enjoyed.

Good, Luminary was terrible

OH GOD WHAT AM I GOING TO DO

Posted by BeatsAndBeyond on Oct-19-2007 01:27:

Amsterdam was awesome. It would've been nice to hear a follow up.

yea too bad luminary and ashley tomberlin was not one of them, so ur comment makes no sense, since she has a beautiful voice. and lumninary will be sadly missed but we all know it was a side project.
