Review: Blank and Jones at Guv - Oct 20, 2007

I have seen B&J quite a few times and have usually enjoyed their sets, but tonight was WOW for me. I was loving it !!! They played dirrttty dirrrrttyy compared to previous sets I have heard, yet the set was dynamic with the perfect mix of melodious stuff in between.

I am home early, because I used up all of my energy in the first 3 hours of the set !!! Oh and Jeff, thanks for making sure no one was in my back seat, !!

You're all missing the most important part. How was Paris Hilton?

She was bad. So I had to put her over my knee and give her a spanking. Why she was waring booty short undies with that outfit is beyond me!?

Blank & Jones were awesome. Can always count on them for a solid set...always. The Dj Booth was kept low all night! It was nice to see it down there where it should be!!!

Paris and I had a little pre-party of our own, probably why she stumbled into the club...right wasn't supposed to share that, oh well sorry girl LOL.

she was on stage for maybe a total of 20 minutes...

didn't do anything...

got up on stage...sat around in her little VIP section, got up for photos. Touched some fans hands in the crowd...and left haha.

B&J played a pretty good set though! Not as good as Dragonfly in July but decent none the less.

No problem Lindsay! After running into that guy who wouldn't let go of my hand who knows who else was stalking around haha.

Wow. Best trance party I've been to this year. B&J were awesome! Their set was almost equal to the infamous Chinese New Year party from a few years ago.

How come Guv wasn't selling any beer? (Yes, they were selling Coors Light, but that's not real beer).

Probably cause it was a coor's light sponsored event, it was on the projection screen along with Smirnoff.

I've seen blank & jones twice already and both time not a disappointment, their crowd interaction was fun, especially when Stefan and I requested Sander Van Doorn - Riff, they played it after the next song .

Yeah Paris Hilton was only there for like 15 min taking a few pictures and what not, I wonder why they would even have her there in the first place...

Hrmm...how did I not notice that? lol Coors Molson - same company. They could've offered atleast one other option.

There were so many people there to just see her. The crowd seemed a little different last night.

Okay not sure where to begin!

I came to the Guv around 2:15am and randomly found myself talking to Mark Oliver for couple of minutes. After having coupious amounts of alcohol at the Brunswick House earlier with a friend I decided it was time to headdown to the good old Guv. Ended up at Union station and grabbed a sausage (fuck was it ever spicy) so I decided make the walk down to Guv while burning inside. Anyways, As soon as I got in the front doors I started dancing.

BLANK AND JONES ARE FUCKING AWESOME!!! Such great crowd interaction as usual and amazing tracks dropped! I was really upset that they played Nighfly earlier in the night and I missed it x10

Got to meet up with a bunch of TA's as usualy, and you guys are awesome as usual.

I guess Prometheus Xex did manage to sneak that laser up his bum :P Sorry I forgot your name but you got me in the eye and I was blind for about a minute haha

I spent most of my time dancing on the podiums while trying to deal with a sketchy asian who kept pushing me away on it while I was trying to dance. He was trying to tell me that it was his area and no one can dance in his area. So I pretty felt like elbowing in the back of the head and just push him down to his death. Anyways, apart from that I had an amazing night. Mark Oliver did a great job closing with some awesome tracks.

I'm extremely disspointed and mad at myself because I accidently deleted the best video from my camera!! It was when Jan Blank took my camera and recorded about 5 minutes of the guv inluding myself going crazy and them mixing and saying hi etc... UGH

I was also in the gallery a bit, I think it was Joee Cons playing. He was sick, he dropped an awesome Beastie Boys - Intergalactic mix.

I'll be posting some pictures and videos later on too bad my best video got deleted cause of my stupidy.

oh and Shaya, you picture snapping devil, I wonder how those pictures of be dancing on the podium turned out haha...

I'm pissed cause Lowblaws ripped us off charging us $15 for Paris! WTF.

I can see why they charge $20-$25 for major events, but still.
