Robert Gitelman

I really want to know more about this guy, and what people think about him. How good / bad is he? Production and DJ-wise. Tracks you like, tracks you don't... Did he change his style during his career and what do you think about it if he did. His aliases and so on...

Discuss.

Last time I checked he was 'meh'.

One of the few artists I absolutely refuse to listen to in any situation.

G&M Project made a few remixes that were alright, but that's about it. Uninteresting artist.

Robert Gitelman is absolutely amazing, at least in the 2003-05 years that I followed his stuff. That ID&T Radio set from 2003 posted on TA by him is easily one of my top 30 livesets ever. He's a fine producer, superb remixer, and an even better DJ. Hopefully he's up to good stuff nowadays, though I have completely disregarded the trance scene over the last 2 years (occupied by oldskool stuff)

Plastic Angel - Pascale 2006 (Robert Gitelmann Remix) is my favourite work of the guy

Makes nice clubby Trance, is riddled with a trademark sound. His latest production, Robert Gitelman & Michael Tsukerman - Memories of The Future, is really mediocre. Dyyni - City of Moving Waters (Robert Giteman Remix) is absolutely massive. You'd want to get his older stuff, especially the ones done with Jaron Martinez (G & M Project, Jaron Inc, 2 Players).

Sure, if you like poorly produced, bassless generic trance.

You're right. G&M Project have a bit weak, pale sound.

I really like his remix for Dynni - City of Moving Waters, Sensation white anthem 2003 remix...
And among his earlier productions: Robert Gitelman - Feeling the sunrise, Jaron Inc - Nothing to loose (check Airbase remix as well), G&M Project- Sunday Afternoon (Original, NuNrg Remix, Morph Remix)...

The Breakdown in Gitelman productions are just amazing. The build is always excellent, never boring.

Wittier than most of your productions, at least. Or so I like to lie.

If one can't lie to himself, who can he lie to?

Either way, my point was that those tracks are hardly good because they remixed them, they were all great as they were.
