Topher Jones - Pack My Bags
01 . Original Mix
02 . Topher Jones Remix
03 . Mitiska & Norman's Bags Packed Mix

Topher Jones has received a tremendous amount support recently with his remixes of 'Ben Brown - Love and Solace' and 'Shawn Mitiska - Silently'. I am proud to present you with his first original release on audio logic. 'Pack My Bags' is a driving progressive trancer with an aggressive bassline and lush melodies. Topher adds a more melodic trance remix of the original that is suited to his current production style. Shawn Mitiska and Christopher Norman (Retrobyte) provide a nice progressive / techy remix of 'Pack My Bags' by adding snippets of the original hook and throwing down some tasty bits of electro.

Out December 27th at all digital stores | Happy Holidays!

slacking off on cover art

the original doesnt do a lot for me, but i can definitely tell topher's technical skills have grown exponentially over the past year or so.

a nice little remix package too. im interested to hear how those sound.

The original is a little bit of a surprising sound to hear coming from Topher - not necessarily a bad thing at all.

This one isn't as much to my liking as "Love & Solace", it just seems to be a bit too busy at points for my taste (the little breakdown in the beginning) and at other times a bit to reliant on the hypnotic synth noise playing with the rolling bassline when I think there could perhaps have been a bit more diversity (i.e. an added or different melodic line) - but that being said, this is obviously not in the realm of "my style" so take my criticism with a grain of salt.

I do think it will do well with the progtrance crowd right now, and expect to see it blowing up playlists in much the same fashion as "L & S."

Keep me posted as to when I can hear the remixes - and keep up the good work Topher!

Anything that Shawn touches lately is gold.

I wrote the original back in May so it's a bit older than all the other stuff that is coming out right now of mine. My remix is straight up Trance and am really pleased with how it has turned out. Its much more in line with the stuff I've been producing lately. I enjoy a bit of variety with my production so I guess this release is showing that. The Shawn Mitiska and Retrobyte will be solid as those two are both doing great things right now. Hope you guys enjoy the release....

i'd like to hear the other remixes. the original is ok, but not my style. far and away much better than walsh and coutre's release though.

very nice artwork also. whoever you hired to do the album art has got mad skillz, yo.

solid! i really like the play of the short stabs in your synthline!... waiting patiently for these to come in more... =)

Not really the kind of music I get into, but I have to admit the production quality isn't bad at all. After the Love and Solace remix, I had kind of written you off as just another hack child of the "electronic music was invented in 1999" era.

This right here was what really, really stood out to me listening to the sample.

Compared to some of the early, early stuff Topher sent me a few years back, the amount of progress he's made in fine tuning his productions is absolutely unreal, and regardless of personal taste, it is always really nice to see someone you know make so much progress.

i knew it. you are like, the abominal snowman in that one christmas special. at first he was all mean and nasty but as they got to know him and (slowly) shed aside the fact that he had tried to eat them on numerous occasions, they found out he was nothing more than a jolly big bear type of creature with actually good intentions.
