Yup, and as a matter of fact, the tunes that are released under YDR's name are produced together with M.I.K.E. Ever noticed that the YDR tunes have a "M.I.K.E. sound" to them? Now you know why

i heard some very old ydr stuff.. it's bad.. together with mike he makes better stuff... then again i think mike's more in control of their productions these days. i allways find it a shame they put those voice samples thru the tracks tho..

Smoking ..umm..something

Yves Deruyter comes to Newcastle in two weeks, alongside Timo Maas. Should be a good 'un. I'll definitely be there if I have the funds.

LOL, yeah I have his album - "D Album" with a few of the original version of old songs (factor-y, feel free, etc.) Most of the album is crap though..

It's a week on Friday (10th). Promise @ Foundation, is their weekly trance night.

You should have mentioned you were close, as last night was their 2nd birthday. Here was their lineup:

9-11: Richard Tulip
11-1: Corvin Dalek
1-4: Mauro Picotto
4-6: Matt Hardwick

Given that it's a tiny little club, that's a good lineup. The crowds there are mad, and the acoustics and sound system are the best I've ever heard. That was the best night they've had in a long time, but it's good every Friday (shame that it closes at 3/4 every week though, but blame our council for that). It's a small club (capacity little over a thousand), quite a way out the city centre. The camaraderie there is like nowhere else. Last night their messageboards had a meet-up of well over 100 people, and the club holds little over a thousand, so as you can imagine it's a very good atmosphere where everyone knows each other. There aren't many clubs like that.

It was so hot yesterday sweat was dripping from the ceilings. LITERALLY! Ask DuMonde Trancer he was there too. At first I thought it was dickheads pouring drink over the balcony when drops hit my head every now and then, until I realised it was condensation.

If you are prepared to travel here, Yves Deruyter might not be the best night, unless you REALLY like him. Armin van Buuren & Matt Hardwick are on 31st May. That should be better, although they get themselves around everywhere, wheras Yves and Timo are less commonly found.

I wouldn't reckon it'd be worth travelling here just for that night, not unless it's the only good Friday night or you really like the DJs, or you live really close.

looks like a good line-up for such a small club Yves has played up in Glasgow at the Arches at Xmas time but I didn't have the money to go see him and I'm dying to.

I might come down to see him in Newcastle but I dont that I'm that bothered about it.

I think its ydr in the beginning of this set and ghost at the end

YDR played a fairly decent set last night @ Qontact, played some classics (such is life, universal nation) along with some newer tracks. Sure beat the hell out of Astrid's set
