-- Adobe Audition 3... another way?
Adobe Audition 3... another way?
Well, this piece of software was announced while ago, and it will be available until November of this year. A was hanging around in the features section of adobe website http://www.adobe.com/products/audition/ and the features aren't so bad at all, with full support to VST's and now a piano roll... well... I think that It could be another possibility for production?.
Since Audition turned version 2.0 it had lost the main essence of a advanced audio editor (well correction... 1.5 becoming from Cool Edit:P), integrating a multitrack view intended to make audio arrangements... it got very very heavy and I finished to return back of version.
My favorite version of audition is 1.5, it just work very fine to me. I use it as an audio analyzer, audio format conversor, between a lot more. It loads fast & quickly...
I think that in the Adobe's future plans is to get into the industry of music production software, right away with a more seriously level. But now, If my Audio editor take more than 5 seconds to get open, I'll just drop it. =P.
Audition 3 turn now to a more sophisticated DAW, now with a lot more possibilities for production than never before, but with this... the system requirements and hard disk space that it needs, is a shame to those ones (included me) that want an easy but advanced at the same time audio editor... we must to charge with the load of lot of sequencing tools and useless libraries that maybe we'll never use... or at least not in Audition.
I like it... but just for the advanced tools in audio editing/processing... I mean... Audition as an editor... in the other hand we got an evolution to a more advanced DAW of what in its time was my favorite audio editor.
What you guys think? =)

I think Adobe has always been geared primarily for visual media production. Always will be.
It's attempts to turn Audition into a fully functioning DAW won't go well. I'm sorry, I never liked that they added "multiple track arrangement" in Cool Edit Pro. It seemed totally pointless.
I use Sound Forge. I would use Audition, but it's just too bloated and stupid now-a-days.
