Basic question (Ableton 5)

How to turn off the velocity?? I use Edirol midi controler and everytime I push a key I must do it hardly if I want to hear the note, I dont need this. I want to turn it off for good

Use midi effects.

usually somewhere in the 'midi setup' part of the preferences...i dont use ableton, but just look around in the options/preferences...there should be an option to eiether link the veloctiy to a different parameter, or to disable the velocity completely.

change the velocity sensitivity in your controller. i have done so with my edirol pcr-1 the the min velocity is 50 for me (50-127 not 0-127) you can choose whatever value for it as i recall. read the manual.

I've lost my manual. Can anybody explain me how to solve the problem with velocity? I would be grateful.

download your controller manual from the net and check if you can change the velocity.

Read my post again.
Now go into Ableton and do the obvious.
If you can't figure that out;
Ditch Ableton Live, go buy a guitar then join a punk rock band.
